8) Dares and Pary planning

Kai's POV
I love December... I know it's only the 1st but I just love it.
Autumn has been over for weeks now and everyone has the fake holiday spirit that I love to see. Plus it's my first time when I don't have exams before Christmas.
Okay I was lying about everything else at all my other schools we had our Prelims (mock exams) before Christmas and it always rued the holidays for me but we don't have ours till February and I have 2 lovely ladies tutoring me so maybe I might even do well.

It's Thursday which is going to slowly. I know it's only first period but still.
I was still in maths in between Opal and Jinora at the back of the class.
The two of them have barely said a word to my since we sat down.
They both just keep giggling and looking down at their phone texting like their lives depended on it.
Which was extremely weird because they never text in class.
I know because they have both told me off about 100s of times.
"Oh my spirits! She did not!" Jinora final said giggling,
"I can't believe she did it!" Opal laughed back,
"Looks like Korra is ready to win this year!" Jinora said still not looking up from her phone,
"Please tell me you two aren't texting each other?" I said irritated,
"No of course not!" She smiled looking up at me putting her phone down slightly as it's continued to buzz,
"Not just each other!" Opal said smiled,
"What is going on with you two?" I asked at this point to take their phones away from them,
"It's December!" Opal answered like that was supposed to mean anything to me,
"Right?" I rolled my eyes and started doing work.
Yeah that's how bad this was. I was doing school work. 🆘🙄

I am so glad it is finally lunch.
I sat at my usual table with Skoochy and the guys. We were chatting about a new game that was coming out when Jinora marched over.
"Skoochy, move!" She ordered standing next to the table.
"Why?" he asked crossing his arms,
"Because I only have 5 more minutes so move your butt!" She said rather rudely
"Oh right! December... sorry!" he said like he was stupid and moved over,
"I'm sorry!" She smiled and sat on my lap...
And I don't mean like hovered, or on the end of my knees, I mean like her butt was right against mine.
Then she kissed me on the cheek and was about to walk away but I grabbed her by the waist holding her there.
"What the spirit is with you?" I asked holder her by the waist,
"Oh, don't you know?" She asked turning bright red, "has no one explained this to him yet?" She turned to the guys asking. They all struggled.
"What?" I asked still super confused,
"Just give me a sec then I'll explain!" She blushed texting on her phone.
I looked over her shoulder seeing a group chat. Opal had just sent a photo in of Jinora sitting on my lap kissing me... you could see the shock and confusion on my face.
"Right so!" She smiled turning to face me still sitting on my lap, "for the first 20 days of December Myself, Opal, Korra, Iroh, Varrick and Mako play a big game of Truth or Dare... we've been playing it for years. And you have to pick truth once but it's mostly dares when you get the dare you have between 5 minutes and an hour to complete it." She explained showing off the group chat which had a bunch of pictures and Videos of the dares they've done today,
"And this is a yearly thing?" I asked
"Yeah! It's like a way to let off steam before the Galla on the 22nd," she said
"So what was yours? To sit on me?" I asked joking.
She looked at me blushing, "bye boys!" She smiled walking off.
"What the spirits?" I asked turning to the boys. "Is it just me or was she being supper weird?"
"No! She was being weird!" Zan said
"So Kai, you and Nora are pretty close right?" Skoochy asked looking at me,
"Yeah?" I asked looking back at him,
"How? Like I've know her for years but in a few months you've become one of her best friends?" He asked
"Umm? I don't know!" I said.
...
School was dull. Jinora and Opal spent it texting giggling. I didn't see them do any more dares though.
Skoochy was acting really weird around me for the rest of school.

After school I was skating about to my house when I heard a car pull up next to me beeping it's horn.
I stopped and it was Skoochy again... I really hate him but I'm gonna keep my ridiculously promise to Jinora and not beet the living sh** out of him. And it's not like it would be hard either. I'm a lot bigger and stronger than him.
"Hey what up?" I asked as he climbs out of his car,
"I need to talk to you?" He says,
"Alright?" I said.
We were right next to the park so I sat up on the wall as he stood in front.
"Dude what do you want?" I asked after a minute of uncomfortable silence,
"I don't like how close you've gotten to my girl!" He said crossing his arms,
"What?" I asked scrunching up my face
"Jinora!"
"Skoochy what the h*** are you talking about?" I asked trying not to laugh,
"Jinora is mine!" He said trying to make himself look bigger.
I knew he was an a**hole but this is ridiculous, Jinora can't stand the guy and he's acting like they're dating...
"Skoochy what are you talking about?" I asked getting up,
"I'm talking about this morning when you held her onto your lap!" He said
"Yeah because I needed her to explain," I said leaning back against the wall,
"Really?" He asked leaning closer,
"Skoochy what is this even about?" I asked getting really annoyed,
"I don't like the way you look at Jinora!" He said half yelled
"And I don't like the way you act around Jinora!" I said in the same tone,
This is the stupidest argument on the planet. She hated him and were arguing about it. And at this rate I'm probably gonna punch him.
"What?" He asked confused,
"Dude you just need to release that she not that into you!" I said bluntly,
Okay that came out a little harsher than I meant it to!
"Shut up! Your just saying that because your into her too!" He yells,
Sh** Ikki was right! I do really like her but Jinora just sees me as her friend...
"It's not my fault you can't handle the truth... Jinora hates you!" I yelled crossing my arms.
"Marko! Please! I don't want to!" We heard a familiar voice yell from inside of the park. Jinora!
"Come on Jinora! Don't be a wouss!" Marko yelled.
We both turned to see Marko holding up his phone with Jinora in front taking off of her jumper leaving her in a tank top and shorts with her hair up in a messy bun next to the pond.
"Oh! Looks who's here!" Skoochy said
"Well I'll see you later... I'm gonna go!" I said grabbing my board.
I skated over to where Jinora and Marko were.
"Hey!" I said stopping next to them,
"Hi littlest bro!" Marko said messing up my hair just as I took off my helmet,
"Hi Kai!" Jinora smiled taking off of her necklace, "can you hold this?"
"Umm why?" I asked taking her necklace carefully,
"Because she gonna take a swim!" Marko smiled trying not to laugh,
"What?"
"Marko here has dared me to swim in the pond!" She said crossing her arms,
"Your kidding?" I laughed
"Nope... getting back at her for 2 years ago!" He said smuggling,
"I can't believe your still on that... alright let's get this over and done with!" She said sitting on the grass, "you better be filming, Mak!"
"Yeah! Now get in!" He ordered as Jinora slowly climbed into the water,
"Oh this is disgusting! Ew! Slimy! Can I get out now!" She pleased holding her self up on the side,
"Come on! Jin dunk your head in!" He laughed,
"Don't be an a** Mako just let her out!" I said going to help her out,
"Just sunk your head in then you can could out... and for the rest of the dares I'll go easy on you!" He smiled,
"FINE!" She said letting go and in a few seconds Jinora was back up trying to climb out of the water,
"Here!" I smiled helping her out,
"Thanks! Now Marko time for a hug!" She smiled turning to face him,
"Don't you! Urg!" He said as she hugged him getting mud on him,
"Well this was fun!" Jinora smiled sarcastically.
