God I'm so pissed with Alyssa. What a stubborn woman! She has a stalker stupid ex and yet she doesn't want me accompany her. At least, the fucker ex will think twice or even thrice if he knows there is a guy with Lyssa. And I know my appearance doesn't scream any weak or pussy man.
I go to the nearest market and buy beers. I was walking around to find some food for my breakfast tomorrow. I forgot to bring one from my apartment. And actually I lied to her when I said I'm renovating my apartment.
My phone rings. Lyssa!
So much for pissing someone, Dave.
Meh... it's Chase.
"Hello Fox."
"Dave! Where are you?"
"Huh?" Did we have a meeting tonight?
"I'm bored! Let's have some drinks. Come to my place, or I can go to yours and bring the whiskey. I got it from Bella last year when she went to Japan."
"Um.. sorry dude I'm not at home."
"Huh? Oh.. hot date?" He chuckles "my apologies, your highness," he says.
"Um not really."
"No? Are you still in the office? It's past 11 dude!"
"No.. I um.. I'm moving."
"Where?"
"To Alyssa Wheeler's apartment. So I'm not in my place."
Silence.
"Hello? Chase?" I look at the screen, we're still on the phone.
"Who are you, impostor?" He laughs
I roll my eyes. "Very funny, Chase," I say dryly.
"No really. You move in to a woman's apartment?" He laughs more. "And don't tell me you two have already been together for a year, you're not! And.. don't say you hooked up with her and she asked you to move in?"
"It's not like that," I say, reining my temper.
"Okay speak!" Chase says.
I sigh. Maybe Chase can help me. He is smart. "Look... I told Lyssa that I like her. But she rejected me. And one day she came to the notification wall and put the stupid letter said she is looking for a flatmate.. so—"
"Wait a minute Walker," Chase cuts me.
"Yeah?"
"You said what to who?"
"I said I like her to Lyssa," I say. I thought he was smart.
"Lisa? What about Alyssa Wheeler?"
"Alyssa Wheeler, I called her Lyssa. Come on Chase, you are sharp," I say impatient.
"Oh okay. But as far as I remember Zac and Alli called her Lys. So I thought.." he says matter of factly.
"I just like Lyssa better," I shrug.
"Okay," he chuckles. "So you said you like her?"
"Yes and she said no to me," I say.
He laughs now, "oh wow. Finally someone rejected Mr. Walker here."
I roll my eyes. "That's not the point. Afterwards she put the goddamn notice about looking for a flatmate."
"And?"
"and my coworkers are interested in it," I say.
"So?"
"They are all a bunch of morons, Chase," I say impatiently.
