Third person POVWarren walked the whole way to the stronghold house. Finding it surprising that they lived only right next door down from each other. But he found himself nervous. Would she even want to talk to him? Would her parents let him talk to her? He was stressing out. He ran a hand through his hair. He breathed out. "Here goes nothing", he said to himself. He walked up towards the porch. His fist raised to knock. He hesitated for a long minute before he did knock. He waited, it felt like forever and he could feel a cold sweat run down his neck. But what surprised him was to see Mrs. Stronghold at the door. He blushed red.
Josie smiled at the boy. "Hello, may I help you?", she asked him. Warren rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah, I was wondering if I could talk to Allison?", he asked her. The smile grew thin on Josies lips. "I'm sorry honey, but Allison isn't feeling good right now, maybe a later day would be better", she said to him in a kinder tone. Warren sighed and nodded. "Okay, thanks though. Can you tell her I said hi?", he said to her in a small tone. She smiled again and nodded. "I'll be sure to pass on the message", she said. She gave him one last smile before closing the door. But she wasn't able to close the door all the way. Because Allison knew who was at the door.
She stopped her mother from closing it. "I'll be fine mom. I just need to get some stuff off my chest", she said. Josie just looked down at her daughter in confusion and then realized after a few seconds. This boy was her daughters soulmate. She felt heartbroken for her. Knowing that her baby really did like this boy. She planted a kiss on her daughters head. "Okay honey. Do whatever you have to do", she said softly. Allison just nodded and walked out the door. Josie sighed and walked away.
Allison walked outside. Wrapping her jacket closer to her. She saw warrens figure walking away. She sighed. She knew what she had to do. She had to let him go. "Warren", she called out to him. Warren stopped in his tracks and turned around. He saw her in all her glory. She was beautiful. Even in pajamas. He slowly made him way over to her. "Princess", he said softly. But the minute he got too close, he felt a hand be placed on his chest. Keeping him from getting too close. He looked down to see her hand on his chest. And then back at her. But she wasn't looking up at him, but at her fuzzy slippers. "Please, Warren. Don't make this harder then it has to be", she whispered softly and in pain. In pain because of knowing she would have to let him go. He grabbed the hand that was on his chest and held it to his chest harder, so she would feel his heartbeat. "Ally, please. You have to understand. Whatever you saw that night, it was a misunderstanding", he said, trying to get her to understand.
He saw her look up, he saw the tears rolling down her cheeks. It pained him to see her like this. Knowing it was because of him. "A misunderstanding? So you just take every girl out, do the same stupid trick with the candle. And then take them to the prom, I thought what we had was special. I thought You knew what we were, to each other. Don't you understand. Don't you realize, we're opposites, I'm ice and your fire. From the minute I met you, I knew. But I didn't want you to think you had to be with me because we're soulmates, I wanted you to be with me because you wanted to be with me, not because you had to be. All those times, the smiles, the jokes, the flirting, was it all a game to try and make me fall for you? Well it worked, it really did. I fell for you Warren, but you didn't fall for me. And now I have to let you go, so you can be with Layla. As much as it'll hurt to know that you'll be with her, I want you to be happy, I know you'll be happy with her", she said. Sobs broke out as each word escaped her mouth.
It pained her to know that the boy that had her heart, was giving it back to her. She went to turn around and walk away. But Warren grabbed her hand again and turned her around. He didn't wait for her to say anything. He pulled her in, wrapping his arms around her, and kissed her. Which surprised her, her eyes wide as saucers. But the minute she figured it out, that his lips were on hers. She closed her eyes and kissed him back. Her hands slowly raising and closing in around his neck. Bringing him closer to her. She could feel how warm he was. She could feel his arms wrapping around her waist. Bringing her closer to him. The first kiss between two soulmates, amazing and magical. Everything they always dreamed about. And it was happening. Right now.
It felt like forever and either of them minded it. If they could, they would want to be like this forever. Being in each other's arms.
Warren felt complete. Being in the arms of the girl he loved. Being able to kiss her sweet lips. He dreamt of this. He always had a feeling that it was her. It was always her. She was always on his mind. She was all he thought about.
He pulled back slowly. Looking back at her. Watching as her eyes slowly opened and looked up at him. He cupped her cheek and slowly ran his thumb over her bottom lip. "It's you, it's always been you princess", he whispered to her. Her baby blue gems looked into his. "What about Layla?", she asked him. He chuckled. "Is in love with your brother, what you saw that night was her talking about Will, because he stood her up at the restaurant and I felt bad, all she did was talk about him. And I didn't even realize I was taking her to prom until she flat out told me at lunch. We're only going to make Will jealous, the only thing wrong with it, is that I'm going with the wrong girl. I rather go with you princess", he said to her with a small smile on his lips.
He saw her face and he chuckled. She was speechless. "It's always been you princess, my Ally-Cat. From the minute you planted yourself on the seat next to me. I knew you were different and I liked that about you, and then you decided to be friends with me, even though you heard about me from your friends. You didn't care, and than you showed me the real you, not caring what other people thought of you, it made me fall deeply and unconditionally and utterly in love with you. It's always been you from the minute I saw those beautiful baby blue eyes looking into mine. I love you. I love you Allison Rosalyn Stronghold, and nothings ever going to stop me from loving you", he whispered to her, so only she would hear him.
He saw the way her eyes welled up with tears. He heard the way she sniffled. And he felt the way she brought her hand around his neck and brought him into a kiss. A passionate and loving filled kiss. He felt her love through the kiss. And it brought him to his own tears. No matter how manly he was. Her love for him brought tears to his eyes. Knowing his soulmate loved him. His hands slowly raised and cupped both of her cheeks. He showed her his own love for her through the way he kissed her.
He wanted to say how much he loved her, but it wasn't possible. All he could do was show how much he loved her.
And after a few minutes of gentle kisses. They pulled back. Her hands gripping his shirt in her fists. "I love you Warren Christopher Peace, and nothings ever going to stop me from loving you, and it's always been you. Always you. I loved you the minute I sat next to you", she whispered to him. He smiled and chuckled through his own tears. He brought her in close. Her head resting on top of his chest. His arms wrapped around her. Keeping her warm. Basking in each other's arms. Knowing that they loved each other.
But not knowing or seeing the two heads peaking out from the window. The grins on their faces, showing how happy they were for Allison.
