"So I know we always plan our vacations like months in advance but since both of our families have relocated and New York just doesn't sound fun, Justin and I moved our vacation to the Bahamas. Sound great right?" my best friend May yells into the phone.

"We're leaving Monday, so the day before Christmas and leaving about three weeks or so after, you in?" Austin asks.

"You know me. I love our Christmas vacations. Of course I'm in! I have to tell the boys but it's tradition. I can't break tradition!"

"Yay! This will be super fun. Anyways Justin and I gotta run. Time to go shopping! Text me soon doll. Love ya!" May says before disconnecting the call.

See it really is tradition. Ever since May, Justin, and I were little out families would leave town for the holiday season. The older we got we got to have full control over the location, what we did, how late we stayed out, who we were with, that kind of stuff. It was also a vacation for our parents because they would go out and have fun and take a break from all their "parenting" not that mine ever did any.

"Hey boys," I say walking into the kitchen. They were all scattered around making their lunches and being boys.

"Yes?" they all said.

"So I just got off the phone with May and Justin and we were discussing our traditions. So I'm informing you that I leave tomorrow for the Bahamas and I'll be gone approximately three weeks," I say with a smile.

They all laugh. "And I'm informing you that you will be spending the holidays with us. In London. Without May or Justin," Liam says with a smirk.

"Thats not fair!" I whine. "I always go out of town with them since like the beginning of time. You cant tell me I can't go!"

"We can and we will. We all decided to stay here and have a family Christmas together," Louis exclaims.

"Plus do you really think we'd let you go with Austin and May? Everyone in London knows who they are and what they do Madi. We don't trust them," Zayn says before turning back to his sandwich.

"You guys don't even know them! They're my best friends and we've done this every year since I was little. You can't mess with tradition!" I exclaim.

"Madelyn Rose we all said no. End of story. Period. No more. Now go unload this dishwasher," Louis commands.

"No no no no! I hate you all! You're ruining my life!" I yell before running up the stairs and into my room. It wasn't fair. They get to dictate my life without even consulting me. They think because they're just a few years older than me they know what's best for me. Well news flash if they knew what's best for me they would have never moved me from Seattle to London. They never would have ruined my life and they would have never tried to be in charge.

"Madi can I come in?" Harry asks through the door.

"No!" I yell back but it's muffled from my pillow.

"Please, I'm all alone," he begs.

"Fine," I unlock the door and run back and lay on the bed.

"Listen Madi I get why you're upset and think its unfair-" he starts before I interrupt him.

"No you don't! You were on X-Factor you chose to do this! I didn't choose to move to London and move in with you guys, I was forced. And nobody even cares that I hate it and that it's a huge change for me! All the boys ever care about is if I'm following their rules!"

Harry comes and sits against the headboard. "Do you honestly think that when we left the X-Factor house and the boys set me and Niall down and explained the rules that we were happy? Cause we weren't. I didn't think it was fair that I couldn't choose if I wanted to go to a party or go to a club. I didn't want to listen to Louis or Liam or Zayn. I really didn't. I wanted to be young and party and have a million dollars and spend it on stupid stuff but I wasn't allowed too. I hated it and the first few weeks were absolutely terrible. I constantly was in trouble. And even now I have to go where management tells me and I have to do what management tells me or what the boys tell me. So yes maybe I don't get having to move across the world without a choice but I do get not having control over the choices in my life," he says.
