Chunmei's POV

For some reason, when I mention Chunli's name, Sicheng turns around starts coughing. Probably just a weird coincidence.

Chunli did come here for college for a while, but there's no way that she and this Sicheng guy have met. The only person she's ever mentioned to me is a Winwin.

"Sicheng, you okay?" I ask in concern.

"I'm good, I just choked on my coffee," he explains, pulling down his mask and taking a sip of his drink. I catch a glimpse of his face. He looks really good. I wonder what the mask is for.

He quickly pulls it back up to cover his face, continuing like nothing happened. Alright, then... I won't push anything. Privacy, am I right?

"How did you come to Korea?" I ask.

"I actually came here for my job," he explains hesitantly. I can tell he's nervous about talking about it. Okay, guess I won't push that either. This man is very interesting.

"Ah, that's nice," I comment, nodding.

"Anyways, it's hard to learn Korean at first, but it was easy enough for me because a lot of the vocabulary is similar to Chinese," he explains, changing the topic.

"Oh, really?" I ask. "I never noticed that."

"Yeah, and you can probably find similarities to English too, and come up with fun tricks to remember things, you know?" he continues.

"Cool! Yeah, that would make it easier to learn!" I agree. I'm so glad that I met Sicheng. He seems like an insanely nice guy, going out of his way to help people who he doesn't even know.

"What do you like to do for fun?" I ask after a while, wanting to learn more about him.

He thinks for a moment, then responds, "I actually really enjoy dancing. And I'm addicted to playing video games." I raise my eyebrows in surprise. Dancing? That's very cool.

"How about you?" he asks.

"Well, back in America, I liked watching movies and stuff, but recently, I've just been listening to music and learning Korean in my free time," I reply.

"What types of music do you like?" Sicheng prompts, looking interested.

"Mostly just Chinese boy groups and stuff, but recently I've been looking into Kpop," I explain. Sicheng perks up at this information. "I found a group called WayV yesterday that I really like."

At this, he starts coughing again, then recomposes himself, saying, "WayV? Sounds like an interesting group. I've never heard of them, though."

"Ah, I think they're very cool," I respond.

"Well, I should probably get going soon," Sicheng says, checking the time. I agree, finishing my coffee and tossing my cup into the nearest trash can.

"Yeah, I should go study Korean," I laugh.

"I can recommend a really good course," he tells me, taking out a pad of paper and a men. He scribbles down the information for it, then rips the paper off and hands it to me.

"There's the course and my number, if you have any questions or need help or something like that," he explains. Wow, smooth.

"Thank you! I hope I see you soon," I wave as we leave the shop together and go our separate ways down the street.

"Same here! Hopefully your sister doesn't leave you at home with no food, but maybe I'll be here if that happens again," Sicheng laughs, waving one last time before disappearing around the corner.

I grin and skip home, overjoyed with how the trip went.
