Akaashi and I sit on opposite seats in Koutarou's living room for the second day in a row. The missing link between us is yet to come home from practice, and so the two of us take the time to relish in the silence. He has a laptop on his thighs, and he focuses downward and intensely on the screen as the clicking sounds of the keyboard fill the atmosphere.

With Akaashi, there is always a good chance that things will be calmer; this is opposed to Koutarou's vibrant aura. I do my best to shift between their personalities on my own, but doing that is easy when I am with them individually. All together, Koutarou's temperament has a much stronger presence, and I typically find myself having to adjust to his more than Akaashi's.

"... (Y/N)," Akaashi suddenly raises his head to meet my eyes.

His glasses have slid down his nose bridge in the tilted position his head had been in; he pushes them up accordingly with the side of his index finger.

"What's up?" I ask, and he glances away for a moment, looking as if he's collecting his words carefully.

"... Are you ever going to consider Bokuto?" He says, and my eyebrows raise.

"Why's that?" I ask, and he shrugs his shoulders before looking back down at the laptop screen.

"It seems as if he's unwilling to give up still," Akaashi notes, and I look at the coffee table in front of me in thought.

"Well... I don't know. To be honest, I thought he would have given up by now." I say jokingly, and Akaashi smiles.

"Is there a reason why you haven't made a decision?"

"... You know, it's just been going on for so long now, I never really thought I would need to make a decision. It kind of all just feels like a running joke," I say.

Akaashi's gaze turns up to me quickly in consternation, and I raise my hands in defence, stammering as I revise my sentence.

"W-well, no, I'm not treating it like it's all a joke, but..." I fade my words. I look back down at the coffee table while taking the pillow on the couch to fiddle around with.
