With music, conversation, and laughter filling the air, the party has livened up. Everyone on Koutarou's proposed guest list has appeared. By now, everyone's had a few drinks and has been getting more comfortable with each other; I've finally gotten to meet a few people.

Some faces are less familiar than others. I assume anyone I didn't immediately recognize either knows Koutarou from MSBY or are people he knew from neighbouring high schools. I learn the names of a few of them, for example, the two that had been tasked with the party poppers during Koutarou's grand confession.

Sakusa was polite enough in his introduction but hasn't said anything to me since then. Hinata, on the other hand, seemed extremely apologetic at meeting me. It became clear just how often he thought about his premature celebration with his party popper. With my assurance, it seems to relieve him, but hasn't stopped him from coming up to me every so often to reassure himself.

Luckily, there are some familiar faces that I can latch onto.

"Konoha," Akaashi says, sitting next to me on the couch.

The brown-haired man spins awkwardly, catching himself quickly before he falls over.

"... If you're getting a drink, can you pass me one?" Akaashi continues, and Konoha shoots him a finger gun as he clicks his tongue.

"Me too, please," I say, and Konoha nods once before turning back around to the communal table where various cans and bottles sit.

"Are you doing okay?" Akaashi says, looking at me.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I sigh, letting the incoming swirly feeling in my body take over. "How about you?"

"Feeling relaxed. Maybe slightly tipsy," Akaashi says, and we both laugh. Maybe it's good that we're sitting, as opposed to our old high school classmate who had taken the leap, struggling to balance himself as a result.

Akaashi and I watch as Konoha skims his fingers over the selections and stops, grabbing three cans. Precariously, he tosses two of them, one at a time at Akaashi and me. While I recoil, Akaashi catches them both, handing one to me. Konoha shoots us an apologetic wince before he saunters towards the small group of people formed in the corner, including a guy who went to Nekoma, laughing heartily. I haven't gotten the chance to meet him.
