Chapter 2 / Children photos

Sam's pov:

I cleared up the mess relatively quickly, when I started to prepare the dinner. I had cut up all sorts of vegetables and fried various things. The sauce was prepared very quickly and so I still had time to sort my clothes closet. I was sorting the last drawer, when I heard the door downstairs.

"Sam? Where are you?"

"I'm up here, honey." As soon as I cloaed the closet she was already leaning in the door frame and smiling at me. "How was your day? Did you have a lot to do?"

"It was rather quiet today, but Norman thought it would be a good idea to play with Joe's investions on the beach."

"Let me guess. He ended up in the see?", I grinned.

"How does he do it again and again?"

"I don't know, but maybe he'll learn it one day."

"Have you been like that too? So I mean, such a mess kid too?"

"Not like Norman, but I've done some stupid things too", I said and sat down on the bed. "I've been rescued by the fire brigade many times. I was very careless and often put myself in danger. That only changed, when I became a fireman."

"I can't imange that", she laughed and sat down next to me. I felt her put a hand on my leg and stroke it gently. "I want details!"

"Oh no, definitely not!", But I want to show you something. I found it, when I was claening up."

"Okay, now I'm curious. What is it?"

"Follow me, my love", I grinned and took her hand to pull her after me. We ran into the living room and went to the glass cabinet to get a small box. "That's a lot of kids' photos of me. I have no idea, how it got here, but it's a nice memory. Would you like to see them?"

"Oh yes please, Sam!", Penny grinned and took the box from me. We sat on the sofa and I put my arm around her to pull her closer to me. Penny opened the box slowly and took out the first photo.

"Awwww no, how cute! This diaper looked really good on you", she giggled and stroke the picture gently. "How old were you there?"

"I think I was a year old."

"That's soooo cute!" Penny took the next picture out of the box. And is that you and Charlie? The way he holds you is very sweet."

"I was a couple of months old and Charlie was four. That was in our kitchen."

"And the women in the background is your mum?"

"Yes, that's my mum. One of the most important people in my life", I replied, kissing her on the cheek.

"She looks like you. And I see you have her hair and eyes", said Penny and looked at the next picture. Here she saw a picture with me and my dad, as we picnic together. "You got a lot from your mum and Charlie got a lot from your dad. It's very funny."

"You're right and look at this picture", I pointed to Charlie's expression. "Here sitting my dad, Charlie and I on a park bench and Charlie tried to imitate him. And if you see it, you could think it's the same person. I was five and Charlie almost ten."

"Not everyone can look like their father at ten", she giggled and took the next picture. "Was that in the kindergarten?"

"Yes, we had photo day. I hated photo days. My mum always dressed me in extra chic, as you can see on that shirt what I was wearing."

"You looked so good as a little boy", she sighed and laid her head on my chest. I ran my hand gently through her hair und just enjoyed her closeness.

"Do you want to see a not so beautiful Sam?"

"Does that really exist?!", she asked sceptically, lifting her head from my chest.

"Look, I was fourteen here and take a look at these braces. I was so happy, when she was finally outside. I looked so horrible with it", I noticed Penny giggled slightly.

"Okay, I didn't expect that. But you didn't look bad, just a little strange."

"A bit strange? You mean very strange!", now we both laughed and couldn't stop. "Shall we look at the others photos?"

"Oh yeah, how did you look after the school?"

"I think a little better, look", I showed her picture from my last day of school.

"Wow, you really haven't really changed over the years", said Penny and I saw her a little blush.

"Well, I've just gotten older. That's more than ten years."

"But for thirty you look very young..."

"So now we've seen a lot of pictures of me. When I see children photos of you?"

"Uhm... you don't want to see them. I looked really, really awful. My mum dressed me up to 7th grade. And my mum has a really interresting style", she stuttered and looked embrassed at the floor.

"It couldn't have been worse than my braces."

"Oh no, you weren't wearing pink dresses with thousands of flowers!"

"Okay not that, but your mum didn't make pictures of you as a baby, when you weren't wearing anything.

"Where can I find these pictures?!"

"No no, I won't show you!"

"Why? I've seen you naked so many times. So why not as a child?

"This is something completely different", I demonstrated and looked away. Penny didn't give up and looked at me with her cutest face I've ever seen. "Damn, I hate it, when I can't  resist you. All right, here are a few pictures I would like to burn", I smiled and handed them to her.

"You're soo cute as a baby", Penny created, when she saw the photos of me. "Can we hang it up somewhere, please?"

"No please not! I don't want to see them every day. Why do everyone think naked babies are so cute?! I mean, of course they're cute, but do you really have to capture that in a photo?"

"You will it definitely understand, when the time comes." I looked at her in amazement. We hadn't talk about children yet.

"When we have our own child?", I smiled with delight.

"I know we haven't talked about it yet, but when it down to it, you'll understand why it's captured in pictures. I can understand if..."

I cut het off with a passoinate kiss. "I would like nothing more, than to start a family with you", I smiled with tears in my eyes and stroked her cheek.

"I love you, Sam!", she kissed me with a passion, that it took my breath away. "By the way, I like more how you look today without clothes", she whispered in my ear an I knew, that we weren't going to have dinner in the kitchen as planned...

I'm so sorry, that it tooks longer as planned. In this story, Charlie is the older brother, because it will fit the story better :) Snall spoiler: Penny gets to know Sam's family in the next chapter. Until then, have a nice day and stay healthy ;)
