Not long later, the train stopped and we arrived at the train station. I walked out of the train by myself and a really tall man named Hagrid, noticing him from the first time I met Harry, told us to follow him. He took us to the black lake and there were boats there waiting for us. As we rode across the Black Lake, I saw Hogwarts. It was so beautiful with all the lights. I felt the magic of the place fill me up, making me feel like this is a true home.

We got to the other side of the lake. Looking up at the school, It looked even more magical than from afar. I couldn't believe my eyes as we all walked in. A lady with a slicked back bun with green robes came to meet us. She told us that her name was Professor Mcgonagall. She began to explain how the sorting is important and each house. She then left us to check if they were ready for us to come in.

"It's true then? What they were saying on the train. Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts," a boy with bleach blond hair spoke up. "This is Crabbe and Goyle, and I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy," he introduced.

Ron chuckled at his name, and Draco looked a bit triggered.

"Think my name is funny, do you? No need to ask yours. Red hair and a hand-me-down robe... you must be a Weasley," the blonde boy spat.

I no longer found the need to listen to this conversation. The boys seemed to be acting like immature babies now and I didnt have the need to pay attention. After Draco was finished bickering, and may I say, badly rejected, he came and stood by me.

"As you heard, my name is Malfoy, Draco Malfoy," he held out his hand. I rejected it.

"You didn't need to be so rude," I said to him shyly.

"Oh come on, Weasley deserved it," he said to me.

"I'm Teressa, but you can just call me Tess," I suddenly remembered what the oldman at Olivaders said, "You see, the unicorn gave me two hairs for the making of the wands. One of the wands was purchased by Mr. Malfoy this morning. You just purchased that wand's brother." I didn't feel the need to tell Malfoy but it echoed through my head.

"Hey, what happened to your face?" he asked, caressing my cheek with his thumb. I was lucky that Professor Mcgonagall came back, I didn't want to answer him.

We all walked into the great hall. I looked up to the ceiling and saw the night sky. It was beautiful.

"It's not real, the ceiling " I heard Hermione say. "It's only bewitched to look like the night sky. I read about it in Hogwarts: A History."

"I knew that since I was five" I thought.

I heard Professor Mcgonagall say something like gather round, so I moved closer together with the whole group.

Professor Mcgonagall started to call names, but I was so nervous and lost in thought that I wasn't paying attention. "What if I'm not put in Slytherin, David would be so mad. I can disappoint him more, but at the same time maybe I don't want to be in Slytherin. What are you talking about, yes you do." I couldn't think straight. I was having a full on conversation in my head that I didn't know that Professor Mcgonagall had called my name three times already.

"Tess, It's your turn," Draco whispered into my ear.

"Oh, thanks," I said to him. I got up the small steps quickly then sat down on the stool.

The hat was placed on my head and I quickly thought "Please be in Slytherin."

"You want to be in Slytherin," I heard the hat say. "You want to prove yourself to your father," I flinched when he said father but the hat continued. "But you would be so good in Ravenclaw," the hat said. I felt the air in my lungs almost leave my body. "Well it'll be..." he paused a little while longer "SLYTHERIN."

I felt the air I was holding in release. I said a quick thanks to the hat in my head before Professor Mcgonagall took the hat off. I sat with all the Slytherins, but at the end of the table where no one was. I just stared at the plates in front of me. Not paying any attention until I heard Draco's name. For some reason, my head popped up like I was waiting to hear his name. The hat barely touched his head before it yelled SLYTHERIN.

Everyone on the Slytherin table stood up clapping. I didn't stand to clap, I didnt even clap. I just looked at him and when he looked at me, he gave me a slight smile. I didn't feel very cherry knowing that my mom was at home with David. all alone, while I was here away from him and without her. I didn't feel it was fair.

After the sorting was over, Dumbledore started to talk about some of the rules. I had my elbows on the table and my head was learning on my hands. I was completely zoned out, that by the time Dumbledore magically made the food appear, I didn't realize that Draco had come to sit by me. He continuously tapped on my shoulder until I finally looked at him.

"The food is here, you know?" he asked.

"Yeah, umm... I'm not hungry," I said to him. I couldn't eat anything since I already ate that chocolate frog. I was not planning to eat an actual meal for another week.

"Oh all right," he said as he took a bite into his food. He turned to talk with more of his friends. I played with the fork in my plate until I felt Draco tap my shoulder again.

"Hm," was all I could manage to get out. Draco pointed to a boy who was sitting across from him.

"Oh your Teresa Silverstone, right?" a boy asked me. I didn't answer, just smiled awkwardly. "Well, Im Blaise Zabini," he introduced. Another girl came to sit in between Draco and I. I didn't mind but she kept looking at me disgusted. She had short plack hair and bangs that looked a bit hideous.
