"That can't be right," I said.

"Well let me continue on with the story," she said sweetly. "After he had told me this he seemed worried. He told me 'I wasn't supposed to bear a child. I didn't know you were a witch and that's what makes this worse.' I was offended when he said something about me being a witch and then I was confused. I had asked him why he wasn't to bear a child and why was me being a witch wrong and he said, 'She has a huge chance of gaining my power and she also has a chance to become a witch, like yourself. Many people will be after the power, so you must hide it.' I didn't know what he meant but I couldn't ask him because he had left already.

I did research and I found an old spell, but a sacrifice needed to be made. I had to connect us in a sort of way but, by doing this I had to grow weaker. Once I die, and I will, this spell will be lifted. There was also another thing I needed and it was someone who had a bad aura because it would block your aura out. So, I went back to David. He found out that you weren't his after and that's why he is like how he is now."

That was a lot. So much information that was kept from me for years. I understand why it was kept from me, but now my mother is dying and it's all my fault.

"Mom, isn't there a way for you to live?" I asked.

"No honey, there isn't," she said.

I had to think of a plan fast. My head was spinning, but I had to concentrate. "Cut the spell!"

"What?" My mother asked.

"Reverse the spell, stop it. I can take care of myself now and you may gain your strength back,"

"Oh, honey," she said softly. "It doesn't work that way. I don't want you to get hurt," she said softly.

"Well I don't want you to die. I can take care of myself now mom, I don't need your protection if it means that you are getting hurt," I tried to reason with her.

"I'll think about it. I'm not saying that I change my mind because you are still my responsibility," she said softly.

I took that answer because I could see she was getting tired. I didn't want to argue with her. I spent the rest of the day sitting in her room. I was worried for her. I couldn't lose her, I wasn't ready.

When it started to get late I said goodbye to my mother and slowly walked down the stairs. My father wasn't home, which was surprising.

"Ms. Silverstone," Tilly had called. I turned to look at her and smiled.

"Tilly, what have I told you about calling me Miss Silverstone, you can call me Teresa or Tess," I had told her softly.

"I'm sorry Mi- Tess," she said. "I made you some food for when you go back to school." She handed me a bag with a container of food in it.

"Thank you Tilly," as she walked away I stopped her. "Tilly, where is my father."

"I am not allowed to tell you Tess," she said, a bit scared. "Master has told me that I was not allowed to tell you or wife."

"Okay, I'll see you when you come home," I told her. I wasn't at all suspicious with my father because he had always told the house elves not to tell me or mother where he was going. Which, now that I think about it, actually makes me suspicious.

I went to the living room where the fireplace was and grabbed the powder into my hand. I walked into the fireplace and looked down at the green flame.

A/N: Hey! So my chapters are getting really short and I'm so sorry for that. I am going to start making longer ones.

I also realized that even though this is a Draco Malfoy fanfic, he's barely in it. I will be working on them more in future chapters, but please be patient with me. I have ideas playing in my head, but it might take a while.

Last thing, I'm going to TRY to post chapters every other day. Honestly, it might not work out but we'll see.

I have a lot to work on.
