Gale is from Kentucky, so he can't stand cold weather and has never been in snow. So when he arrived at the mansion (which I headcanon being around Montana) he was completely unprepared for winter.
Then one day while wearing literally all his coats he sees Vine, who at this time he doesn't know, outside in the freezing cold with Sally only wearing a light jacket that he always wears.
Then imagine his surprise when he asks Vibe where he's from, thinking he was from a cold state and he was used to it, and the epitome of baby looks at him and replies in a super thick Russian accent.
So yeah, Gale definitely had an odd time meeting Vine.
a.k.a Southern boy who can't handle the cold dates Russian boy who only really puts on winter coats to go outside if it's practically a blizzard.
