Chapter 1.
-Lily's P.O.V.-
"Guess who?" Called the familiar voice who put his hands in front of my eyes, I smiled and shut my locker.
"Please tell me it's Channing Tatum!" I squeaked and he dropped his hands off my eyes and I turned around to find Dylan frowning.
"Sorry to disappoint you." He said lowering his head and I laughed hitting his arm playfully.
"Where's Marian?" I asked looking around, those two usually showed up together. Dylan shrugged his shoulders and looked around as well before looking back at me.
"Maybe she's not showing up today." He said and I sighed, I hated when she missed days. We had almost all our classes together and she's the only one that broke my shell so I wasn't an awkward dinosaur in front of everyone. The bell rang and Dylan gave me a sympathetic smile knowing how I felt. "Let's go to class." He said and I nodded, we had first period with Marian but Dylan always talked to his popular friends.
"Alright." I said and followed him to our classroom, when we were mid-way there one of his friends Marcus came and jumped on his back.
"Hey bro!" Dylan laughed and I stepped a bit away from him so I wouldn't get trampled.
"Sup. Hey, you're coming to Rachel's party tonight?" Marcus asked and Dylan gave him a confused look.
"No one told me." Dylan said and Marcus jumped off and almost landed on me but I jolted out of the way dropping my stuff onto the floor. I groaned as everyone one acted like there was nothing on the floor and just kept walking over my stuff. I looked back to see Dylan and Marcus continuing to walk to class before picking up my stuff.
I know it sounds selfish but sometimes I just wanted to lock Dylan in a box so no one else could interrupt our friendship. Now that I think about it, that would be pretty mean. But I don't get to spend as much time as I'd like with Dylan, well to build a better relationship. Marian, Dylan, and I have known each other for a long time but when high school hit he suddenly became popular. He tried not to leave us behind, and he still does try, but sometimes his attempts don't end in our favor. Well, in my favor.
After I scooped my stuff off the floor I hurried to class, dusting off the shoe marks on my binder. I walked in just in time and took a seat next to Dylan. I looked over to him and he mouthed a 'sorry', I just smiled as in to accept his apology. I took out my notebook and started taking notes when Dylan threw a note onto my desk. I slowly opened it so it didn't make a lot of noise.
U shld com to Rach's party with me.
His hand smudging the red pen he always wrote in because he never had a pencil. A party? I've never been to a party, I've just never been that type of person. But I guess if he wanted me to go I could, my parents wouldn't mind probably. They wouldn't even be home to ask.
When is it?
I passed the note back to him without our teacher seeing, I watched him scribble down a reply before handing it back to me.
2nite. I cud pic u up at 8?
I smile at the fact that he spells like he's texting in a note. I quickly went through my schedule for tonight, not that I'm usually always busy but when I am I have to stick to my current plans. I couldn't think of anything I was suppose to do.
Alright. (:
I passed the note back to him and he looked up at me with those gorgeous green eyes and smiled, I returned it and went back to taking notes. I started zoning out and thinking about what I was going to wear more than anything. I was mentally going through my closet but then Marian came into my mind.
