-Lily's P.O.V.-
I opened my eyes when I felt someone touching me, my eyes shot opened but stung as that same light hit them. I soon dilated and saw Ryan in front of me, shirtless. I then looked down to my own body to see a black V-neck that went down mid-thigh on me.
"Morning." He murmured as he placed the blanket back on me then did something with my chains which made it a little easier to move, but I couldn't punch or kick. Sadly.
"What are you doing?" I spat, not scared to talk in front of him.
"Helping you?" He suggested raising an eyebrow and I scoffed.
"Yeah, now you're freaking helping me. How about when I was getting beat by your twisted father? Where was that much needed help?" I hissed and Ryan looked at me with a shocked expression.
"That's the most you've ever said to me." He whispered before picking a brush from next to him and started to brush through my hair.
"That's all you're going to say?" I snapped and moved my chains making him flinch away from me, I didn't like the fact that he was so close to me.
"What did you want me to do!?" He asked raising his voice and I cringed at his anger even though I probably deserved it. I wouldn't let him think that though.
"Save me!" I yelled like it was obvious and he continued brushing my hair. "He was beating me against a wall and you were just standing there whining over how you were just slapped. Oh, you really care." I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes but he kept brushing my hair calmly.
"He would have killed us both if I did something." Ryan said coldly, just focusing on my hair. I don't even know what I was expecting, I had just met this guy yesterday and I was assuming he actually cared for how I felt. Which I knew he didn't.
"Stop brushing my hair." I ordered but he continued and I groaned in annoyance. "Stop touching me!" I barked and he dropped the brush to his side and looked at my eyes.
"You're so mean to me." He pouted and my eyes widened. I'm mean to him? Can you blame me!? I was being tortured, ripped away from everyone I loved because of him and his dad.
"Well no shiz Sherlock! You people kidnapped me! You expect me to like you?" I scoffed and his eyes became sad and his expression softened.
"Lil, I'm sorry." He said with a sympathetic look and I lunged at him.
"Don't ever call me that again!" I screamed and he covered my mouth but I kept biting his hand.
"You're going to wake Jackson!" He informed me in a whisper-yell and I just tried to scream louder through his hand. "Lily, stop it, please! I'm sorry!" He begged quietly and I finally stopped, shaking my head of his hand and he dropped it.
He sighed and started rubbing his temple, slouching over next to me and I couldn't help but stare down at his abs. I have never seen someone so toned but I ripped my gaze away as Ryan moved to sit next to me, his head against the wall just like me.
"Just go back to sleep." He ordered quietly and I rolled my eyes.
"So you could stab me in my sleep? No thanks." I scoffed and I heard him sigh heavily next to me.
"I'd never hurt you when Jackson's not around." He promised and I faced him, his eyes closed and his face relaxed. He looked so peaceful and it really annoyed me.
"So when Jackson is around you're just going to torture me and then when he leaves you expect me to be your b-best friend?" I asked him and stuttered at the word best friend, reminding myself of Dylan and Marian. I pushed them out though, they were my weak spot and I had to be strong right now.
"I don't expect you to do anything." He said and turned his head towards me and opened his eyes. I was getting lost in them so I avoided his gaze, looking straight forward. "Lily, you d-"
"Ryan!?" I heard Jackson scream outside of the door and travel down what is probably the hall. Without another word Ryan got up and left me with his shirt and turned the lights off before swiftly walked out of the door and shut it behind him.
I almost felt worried for him, that Jackson would hurt him but I shouldn't care. He deserves it, maybe he'll finally feel my pain.
-Dylan's P.O.V.-
I went to sleep the night of the party in worry for my best friend, guilt still hung over me when I woke up the next day for school. Marian
would probably be there and hopefully Lily was there too. I needed to hug her and say I was sorry, I hope she finally went home that night.
I headed to my car and started driving to school faster than usual, just really eager to see Lily. Just thinking of her beautiful smile, just her beautiful self made me so happy.
I sound really sappy...ew.
When I drove up into the school parking lot I ran to my locker that was on the other side of the school from Marian's and Lily's. I rushed over to find Marian sitting near Lily's locker reading.
"Hey." I smiled down at her and she smiled back and sniffling a little. I extended a hand down to her and she gladly to it and I helped her up. "How are you feeling?" I asked her and she shrugged.
"I'm still alive, aren't I?" She laughed and I hugged her, not caring if I were to get sick too. "Did you talk to Lily last night?" She asked and I shook my head. Well, I had, but only a little bit. "I called her a million times last night and she didn't answer." Marian informed me and I bit my lip.
"I don't know where's she's been." I said truthfully and Marian shrugged and leaned against Lily's locker. We waited for her all morning until the bell ring and Marian and I walked to class together quietly. Marian didn't even know what happened last night and if I told her that I left Lily I'd be killed. Death by best friend. But I really had no other choice and I was starting to worry.
When we got into our class we sat in our usual spots, except this time Lily wasn't sitting in hers with a big smile.
"Marian...I need to tell you something." I said rubbing the back of my neck nervously.
"What is it?" She asked almost uninterested in my statement.
"About Lily...last night I took her to this party. I had to leave for literally five minutes and when I came back she wasn't there." I said as I bit the inside of my lip.
"You left her!?" Marian yelled and causing our teacher and everyone who had already gotten to class stare.
"Just for a quick minute! I had to help out Marc-"
"Always for the populars..."Marian mumbled and I stared at her in disbelief.
"What did you just say?" I asked her and she looked at me with hurt in her big brown eyes.
"It's never about us anymore, Dylan. It's always about your new friends. Your cooler friends." She told me, half way through the sentence she looked down at her desk in disappointment.
"You two always come first." I whispered.
"Then why didn't Lily?"
