“Lily, don’t make this harder tha-“ I started to speak as Lily walked over to me with determination in her eyes but instead of slapping me or dragging me out of the house or begging she kissed me.

She had her hands on my cheeks and her eyes were gently closed and soon enough without thinking I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around her waist and kissed her back.

I could feel it, sparks soaring through the air. Not just sparks but fireworks just from that one kiss. Maria’s kisses didn’t even live in the same division.

She pulled back and inhaled looking into my eyes as I looked into her stunning blue ones. I still held her and she still held my face firmly searching my eyes. I stared down at her lips again wanting more, wanting to never stop. But then I caught myself and stumbled backwards letting go of Lily and she let go of me.

“Di-Didn’t you feel that?” She asked me while biting her lip. Yes, yes I did feel that. It was just the moment though, nothing else. I don’t like Lily like that, at all. As much as the other half of me told me otherwise I didn’t believe it. Maria was the only one who held my heart.

“Feel what?” I asked warily, even though I knew what she meant.

“You’re lying if you’re telling me you didn’t feel anything...anything…” Lily said trying to find the right word, but I could name a ton. Magical, special, untimely, wondrous…

“Anything what?” I asked her and bit my lip from the inside as she walked closed to me and looked my hands that laid perfectly at my sides then up at my face.

“Anything beautiful.” She spoke softly and I looked away from her stunning eyes and tried to remember Maria’s brown ones.

“I-I didn’t.” I told her and mentally cursing myself because of my stuttering. She was silent for a second and I looked down at her to find her already looking at me.

“Alright.” She breathed and stepped away from me and I relaxed a bit. We stood there in silence when I remembered I had to go back to Jackson so I walked up to Lily and hugged her quickly before leading her to the door.

“Bye, Lily. I’m going to miss you. Don’t give up on anything you set your mind to.” I told her and opened the door and she looked up at me with tears in her eyes as she took one step out of the door and in hope she would close the door behind her I ran to Jackson.

I couldn’t get her or that kiss out of my mind but I had to, I had to when I was dealing with him. I unlocked the door from the outside to find Jackson still tied up in the chains like I left him. They were impossible to undo when you were in the trap.

“Where’s the girl?” He croaked as I knelt to his level.

“Gone.” I told him and he shook his head and I swear I heard him growl.

“Stupid boy! Do you know what you’ve done? To yourself and your own father?” He asked not as angry as I expected, but he sounded defeated.

“You aren’t my father. And I know what I’m doing, your terror ends here. Even if mine is about to start.” I told him grimly and he chuckled slightly.

“You’ll be charged just as long as me for setting her free.” He told me and I nodded my head in understandment. “But I really can’t wait to see you in court as I name off all the deaths you’ve done.” He smirked and I looked to the floor as the memories flooded into my mind.
