"The Violinist With Blonde Hair"

"Is that all that really happened?"

You nodded while changing your shoes. "Ehhh? Darn it..." Maria mumbled on this last part, "Oh hush. We're still just first years. You're acting as if we like each other or something." You chuckled.

"Because YOU DO!" The frustration in her voice was loud and clear. You shook your head and continued walking.

A few weeks had passed. Everyday was the same. School, practice, home, sleep. Even though Ryu began eating lunch with Maria and Fuji, including you, you guys didn't speak as much.

"Hikari, did you want to come over to see Melody?" You turned and saw Ryu, "Sure! How is she?" You both began walking to his place, "Scratching up some of our furniture, my dad has been getting a bit annoyed. He'll warm up to her though." He chuckles.

While at his house, you played with Melody then decided to play the piano, or at least tried to.

"My fingers keep on slipping..how do you do this??" He chuckles and smirks, "Cause I have talent." You huffed and looked away. "Maybe I should teach you volleyball and make fun of you when a ball hits your head." You snickered.

Before he could say anything, the sound of the doorbell ranged around the house. "Who could that be..?" He says getting up and walking to the door. You followed along, not knowing that the person behind the door would have a impact on you.

"Does the Tsukishima family live here?"

"Yes..and who is asking?" You tried getting a better view and saw a girl with long blonde hair. "My name is Naomi Akene. You are Ryuji Tsukishima am I correct?" His eyes slightly widen, "Oh, Naomi from grade school? How have you been?" He steps to the side and she walks in.

"Thank you, I've been good. House still looks the same after all of these years. Oh, I hope I wasn't intruding anything." She says turning to you.

"O-Oh not at all! I'm a classmate and friend of Ryu. Hikari Yamaguchi, nice to meet you." You held out a hand for her to shake, "Likewise. So, do you still play the piano Ryuji?" He nods and lead her to the room where you and him were practicing.

"I'll see you at school tomorrow Ryu. It was nice meeting you Akene." You said grabbing your bag and walking to the door, "Oh..okay..see you." He waves and as you left, the piano keys began to echo around the house.

(Next day)

"Hey Hikari! Guess what?" You looked up from your book and saw Maria, "Hm?" She goes over to sit in Ryu's seat. "I heard we have a new student. Supposedly they're really popular..you think they're a boy?" You rolled your eyes, "Of course you wanna know if they're a boy. Popular? Well to be honest I don't really care if they are or not."

"You're so lameee Hikari..lighten up a little! That's your name! Hikari! Hikari. H-

"Okay okay okay. I get it..anyways do we have practice today?" She shakes her head and you face saddens.

"Oi. You're in my seat." You both look up to see Ryu, "Oh- sorry you're highness." She says getting up and bowing. He scoffs and sits down, right before the teacher walked in. Students rushed back to their seats and quieted down.

"Morning. We have a new student. Please introduce yourself."

The door opens and your eyes widen.

"Hello, I'm Naomi Akene. Pleased to meet you all." She said giving a small bow, girls began to whisper and boys began to chuckle. "Alright settle down. Please have a seat behind Hikari and Ryuji." You both raised a hand and she walks over with a small smile.

"I didn't know you were gonna attend to Karasuno." Ryu says turning around to her, "Same. But my parents heard you were going here so they signed me up." He chuckles and you sat in silence as the two talked.

(Lunch)

"Hikari! Ryu! Let's go! Fuji is waiting on us." You nodded and got up with your bento box.

"Mind if I join?"

Maria looks at you, then Ryu, then back to you, then back to Naomi. "O-Oh..sure." The four of you left to the rooftop where Fuji was waiting.

"Heyyy!- Oh! Who's this?" He asks looking at Akene, "She's a new student in our class. Naomi Akene." Ryu says stepping to the side. "Lovely to meet you Akene! Hope you'll like it here!" She nods and sat down.

"So Naomi, tell us about yourself! I heard you're popular?" Maria chuckles, "I play the violin. I started at a young age and became more talented I guess. Lately I've been going here and there to perform." Everyone stopped eating and went silent. "Violin..? Oh so you and Ryu play together?" She nods, "For a few years in grade school until I had to leave. But I'm back now and we're planning to win the competition." Ryu chokes on his food and turns to her. "We are??"

"I'm sure you both will do great. Keep practicing!" You chuckled and lightly nudged him. "Anything I should know about you guys?" She asks, you all smirked at each other.

"We play volleyball!"

"Volleyball? Wasn't expecting that. But it fits your personalities." She giggles.

(After school)

"Hikari. Heading home?" You turned to see Ryu, "Sure-

"Ryuji. Let's practice for the competition?"

And there she was again.

"Oh..I was gonna-

"Actually...I have practice. See you two." You smiled and walked away to the gym.

(Ryuji's POV)

"M-Maria?" She turns around confused, "Oh. Hey Ryu, what's up?" I looked around confused as well.

"Don't you guys have practice?" She slightly tilts her head, "No..?"

Then...then where did Hikari go..?

"Ryuji? Is everything okay?" I turned back to Naomi, "Y-Yeah..well we'll see you tomorrow.." I said then continuing to walk home.

(Back to Sunny's POV)

The sound of a locker being slammed made you jump, "So, Hikari...care to explain..?" You slowly turned to see Maria.

"E-Explain w-what?"

Maria is so scary when she's mad.. You thought while slightly trembling.

"Ryu asked me if we had practice yesterday. And I didn't see you walking home with him? Instead he was with Naomi." She says while slowly walking towards you, you began to sweat. "A-And what if I wasn't with him? It's not like he has to walk me home." You nervously chuckled and backed up.

"It was Wednesday. You and him go to see Melody on Wednesdays."

She actually remembered.. You thought.

"They were gonna go practice together..I didn't want to intrude.." You finally confessed, "Knew it. Something was odd about her..though we haven't really talked. Let's go practice to get them off your mind." You nodded and followed behind Maria.
