Part 5

          It had been two weeks and in that time Eli and Naib had bought a new house and sold the house they had been residing in.
           It was two days before they had to make the four hour trip to their new house so they decided to go on a big grocery trip. They walked into the plaza that held many shops, Naib saw that everything seemed to be happy besides Eli. Naib came to the conclusion that Eli was just saw something that reminded him of Gertrude, but it didn't take long to to figure out that he was incorrect. A group of men walked up to the boys one of them saying "Oh look after three years the freaks finally back!" to which Naib responded "Hey! fuck off." Eli just ducked his head under and whispered to Naib "Ignore them, let's go.." The men snorted, the one who seemed to be the leader said "Awe look the coward is running away again!" Naib was fed up and harshly slapped the man, Eli jumped,  grabbed Naib, and yelled "Stop!" but the group of three had other ideas.
          When the men jumped at Naib all at once he had to force Eli off of him, Eli became overwhelmed and ran into a small alley way. Naib wasn't scared, he could wipe them out in a second if he really wanted to. He was in the middle of the three and he heard the one behind him pull a knife, so when the all jumped at Naib he wasn't able to avoid the knife completely and gained a new cut across his cheek. After, Naib decided to stop playing around and ended up knocking them down in a few minutes.
          When he was done he became confused as to why none of the many bystanders did anything but then he focused on where Eli went. He walked down the road until he saw Eli's shadow in an alley at the end of the road. Naib noticed that Eli was crying, and rushed over to him. Naib softly laid his hands on Eli's cheeks and said "Hey it's ok now I took care of them." Eli hesitated then nodded into Naib's hands. Naib realized that Eli was upset that he caused a scene. Therefore Naib said "Oh.. I'm sorry.." Eli responded "It's not your fault thank you for standing up for me." And Naib responded "Of course." They sat there for a bit and then Eli said " This has been happening all my life, people think i'm weird because of my ability, so they all either make fun of me or avoid me.." Naib just said "I'm sorry.. why won't you stand up for yourself?" Eli just said "Sometimes I will yell at them but that's only when I get really mad.. I can't fight so there's no point in doing anything but that." Eli looked up gave a small giggle and said "I'm fine- oh your bleeding!" Naib laughed and responded " It's just a little cut I'm fine." Eli had already gotten up and said " Wait here I'll be back in a sec."
          Eli came back with a couple tissues and grabbed Naib's face dabbing the wound. Eli eventually say down still holding the tissues to Naib's face, but he soon leaned into Naib's chest, while Naib wrapped his arms around the younger boy. they stayed like that for a couple minutes before Naib said "Hey, go treat yourself to something i'll get the groceries." Eli responded with "That's unfair though." and Naib said "Nope it's my punishment for being an idiot earlier." Eli said "I don't have a choice do I" and Naib responded "Absolutely not!" with a cheeky grin. They both laughed and then parted ways.
          Eli went into a bakery he liked, and got a croissant with chocolate drizzle. Meanwhile Naib was having a dreadful time shopping, but he was satisfied because he got to see Eli smile.
