Part 7

It had been about three months since the two men moved in together. Eli had gotten better, therefore they stopped being as intimate with each other, Naib not wanting to make Eli uncomfortable. But somedays could be rough for Eli, and Naib would cuddle Eli as much as he needed.

But today was a bit different, A thunderstorm was coming, and it was bad. Naib had sat through countless thunderstorms, being able to cope easily, by just turning on the TV or listening to some music. But that wouldn't slide this time. The thunder was so loud, and the rain pounded the house. Naib hated it so much it made him remember the war he had previously been in, things he wanted so desperately to forget. He wanted it to stop, he curled into a all on the side of the couch, breath becoming harsh and unstable, while pushing his hands over his ears at a desperate attempt to block out the noise. Naib could taste a bit of saltiness invade the side of his mouth from the many tears that were falling. Everything was reminding Naib of the many horrible things that he had to encounter.

He wanted everything to stop, he just wish he couldn't hear or see or anything, but he did want Eli, and that was something he could get. Naib couldn't think of where Eli was until he shakily lifted his head up and caught a glance of their bedroom door. "There" he said mentally, and although he was rushing he moved very slowly. "why can't I move, go goddamn it" Naib spoke to himself. He slowly moved his trembling legs towards the door and whispered "Please wake up I need you Eli please" He was able to move to where the hallway opened to the living area, and then his legs gave out and he crashed into the ground. Naib curled up into a ball again when a loud thunder crash happened and shook the house, causing Naib to let out a yelp.

The loud crash made Eli wake up from his slumber, he walked out of the room to see a shaky Naib curled on the floor. Eli ran over to Naib aware of the panic attack he was going through. Eli spoke "Naib hey its me, everything will be ok I'm here". It took Naib a couple seconds to figure out who was speaking but when he did he uncurled. Eli then sat Naib up, put his hands over his ears, and pulled Naib closer to push their foreheads together. They sat there for a couple minutes until another strike of thunder boomed, causing Naib to practically jump into Eli's arms. Eli wrapped his arms around Naibs head softly stoking his hair.

After a bit Eli spoke "would you like to try to sleep?" and Naib said "You just w-woke up though". Eli responded with "You know I fall asleep easily." Naib just let out a small giggle, and they got up and moved to the bed.

They laid in bed Eli holding Naib close to his chest, Naib jumping every once and a while. Every time that would happen Eli would do something that soothed him like calmly shushing, or sqeezing Naibs hand a bit. Eli waited till Naib fell asleep and when he did Eli pressed a small kiss to his head, and let go of his hand to pull him in closer also falling asleep soon after.

Hey I'm not as into idv as a used to be so as much as I love these two I'm not sure if I'm going to continue this fic on as much as I had originally planned, but that may change. But I've been into genshin a lot more recently! I've developed a huge comfort towards Zhongli x Baizhu and I think my next fic will be about them! That ship isn't popular at all but I do have other fics I want to write after, zhongzhu is just very important to me lol. But that's all, and once again I promise to make an ending if I decide to carry out this fic or not!
