Lucienne walked up the ramp to her private plane. She could smell that her mate, joined by the werewolf twins, was already on board. As planned, Lila's mate would stay with her own angel General as a means of communication while Lucienne was gone. That way, she could stay informed about the actions around the world and make decisions without having to make trips back and forth between places as they looked for the witches. Domina Raisa would be returning to rule the werewolves, meaning both pairs of mates were to be separated for the time being.
Upon entering her private plane, she found the twins to be seated opposite one another on the plane's two large chairs, chatting loudly with an ease they had now shown before thanks to Ciara's disappearance. They also sported new clothing colors, an untrained eye might think they wore the black and silver of the Domina's pack, but Lucienne noticed subtle differences and the distinct style of the clothing meaning the female's had somehow found the garb that those close with the Dark Goddess once wore just as her own guard and generals wore a distinct style of white and gold clothing. Ciara herself, with Tala at her feet, was seated on the couch, once more in her strange fur-clothing. The female's witch-forged sword was propped up beside her seat on the couch and there were new twin daggers at her sides, likely from the armory. Two angels, armed to the teeth, were at the back of the plane near the door to the room with a bed, wings withdrawn. Lucienne knew them by name and knew that they were some of the best of the best.
As she walked onto the plane and towards her mate, Lucienne couldn't stop the bright smile that formed on her face seeing Ciara's own small smile joined with cute crinkles around her eyes. The female's smiles, even the smallest, were a rarity she treasured.
"Hello Ciara, hello Evelyn and Lila," she greeted, gaining the females' attention. She noted how her mate made a sniff in her direction before turning to hear her better, Ciara's smile growing the tiniest bit. Lucienne chose to sit beside Ciara and buckled herself in, Fenna walking further in to lay down near the angels.
"Hello, Light One," both twins said in unison and Lucienne nodded in response. The werewolves, both dressed with an adequate number of weapons, immediately resumed their conversation which appeared to be a somewhat heated argument over whether or not they should get a pet.
"Do they do this often?" Lucienne whispered into Ciara's ear, leaning towards the female in the hopes of not being heard by the twins.
A small chuckle escaped Ciara. "Yes, all the time. Drove their father nuts at the dinner table."
"For Goddess' sake Evelyn, I'm having a baby, I don't need to be trying to wrangle a pup too!" Lila exclaimed, loud enough to draw Lucienne's attention as the plane door was closed.
"But it won't be a pup for long and it could fight with us, like Ciara and Tala!" Evelyn exclaimed back, looking like she really wanted a dog of some sort.
"Why can't Evelyn just get her own pet?" Ciara interjected, causing Lila to turn to her with a look of complete bewilderment.
"Because I will be the one to end up training it, you should know that Ciara!" Lila immediately shot down the look of growing hope on Evelyn's face.
"Will not!" Evelyn defended, spouting another round of argument between the twins on whether Evelyn was responsible enough to properly take care of a puppy. Beside her, Ciara let out a long-suffering sigh and leaned into Lucienne's side.
"They're going to be at it a while," Ciara comments as Lucienne wraps an arm around the smaller female so that Ciara's head was resting on her shoulder. The female, despite her obvious aversion to touch with anyone else, had not only allowed Lucienne to hold her and seemed to enjoy it but also occasionally initiated contact. Lucienne couldn't help the small purr that vibrated her chest with her mate so close but did manage to make it so that no one but Ciara would hear it over the twin's argument.
