twenty one

Jaemin woke up to pitch black. not a comforting black but a scary black. he heard some noise but didnt know where it came from. he looked up to the dull light coming in through the small cell window, placed a meter above his head. Then he passed out again, not noticing the slim figure watching him from the shadows.

He woke up again sometime later, to darkness, that was the first thing jaemin noticed, yeah he usually woke up in darkness but it was comforting, this was scary. There was light though the light source was this little window letting off a faint light. The light want like any light jaemin had seen before though. It was red and sometimes orange.

"Hello?" he called out into the darkness. He tried to take a step but was sharply pulled back by an iron chain around his wrist.

"Ah," he cried, looking down at the metal surrounding his wrists.

He then noticed his pounding headache and at down and held his head in his hands.

"Ah jaemin, you're awake," a voice said from above him.

jaemin looked up to see a figure staring down at him coldly.

"Who are you? Where am I?" jaemin asked tears streaming down his face.

The figure didn't answer but turned around and locked the door behind him.(totally didn't copy and past this from a past chapter and switch up the first sentences a bit heh.)

Winwin ran towards haechans room in full panic, he had to tell jaemins friends. He burst into the room, surprising haechan who was lying in bed trying to motivate himself to do things that day. 

"fuck, ow! Knock before you come in!" he yelled falling off the bed.

"Sorry," winwin gasped for breath "it's just jaemin got taken by the demon, renjun, who went missing earlier this year." 

He expected haechan to jump up and start freaking out, but instead he said "you should have told jeno first." in a dead serious tone before quickly changing and ran out of the room yelling back to a surprised winwin "are you coming or not?" 

Winwin rolled his eyes and broke out into another run, following haechan. They went into an unfamiliar part of the castle school, but somehow haechan knew his way around. they stopped in front of a door and haechan burst in to find jeno sleeping.

"Jeno! wake up!" haechan said loudly.

that didn't work so haechan called a couple more times, but still nothing.

finally sighing haechan strode over to jenos bed and leaned down right next to his ear.

"I wouldn't do that if i were you..." winwin mumbled quietly. 

"Its fine," haechan said before turning back to the still fast asleep jeno.

clearing his throat he opened his mouth and yelled as loudly as he could in jenos ear, "JENO WAKE UP!" 

That worked, jenos eyes flew open and he sat up accidently whacking his head on haechans nose.

"OW!" haechan whined rubbing his nose. 

"that's what you get for waking me up, what do you want?" jeno grumbled.

"Umm... well winwin needs to tell you something..." haechan mumbled looking away.

"Uh..." winwin thought about how to word it, this vampire scared him.

"umm... well renjun came back to the school and he took jaemin and injured xiaojun," winwin said.

Jenos head snapped around at the sound of jaemins name.

"What?" he said icily. 

winwin went to repeat it but jeno snapped "i heard you the first time."

jeno quickly got changed and ran out of the room, haechan and winwin on his heels.

"Where are we going?" jeno asked once they got to the corridor outside of the dorm hallways.  

"The headmasters office," haechan gasped for breath, but didnt get a chance to catch it before jeno had taken off again towards the headmasters office. 

they arrived, and went into the office. it had a relaxed feel to it, unlike the current situation. Taeyong was there seated behind a large desk that was covered in papers. 

"Is that everyone?" he asked looking at each of them.

"yeah we just passed jungwoo in the hallway and he's coming as soon as he can," haechan said

"good," taeyong responded. 

Then they started planning for what to do.

An hour later jeno, haechan, jungwoo, and winwin headed out of the office, the sky was just beginning to be fully lit up by the sun. Winwin turned to ask haechan a question.

"Wait, haechan you said earlier that i should have told jeno first. Why?" he asked looking at haechan with a curious light in his eyes. 

"because, well i think jeno should tell you that." haechan responded nodding to jeno.

"well because me and jaemin are dating," jeno said a red blush coming over his pale skin.

"wait- hang on. isn't that forbidden?" jungwoo asked.

"you seriously had no idea this entire time?" haechan asked.

"I don't pay attention very well," jungwoo muttered softly.

"I've noticed," haechan shot back. 

"we will get jaemin back," winwin said to jeno who was gazing sadly out into the forest where you could see the sunlight dancing through the trees 

"that's a promise."
