Summoning the Ghost King (Old Version)

Chapter 15

Danny's old childhood dream was that he wanted to be an astronaut, but life threw him a curveball, and he had to put that dream on hold for a while when he became the ghost king. But now, he couldn't believe that he was on the Watchtower Danny would love to check out the station and see what earth looks like from the Watchtower. However, he sits in a white room, with one window, a silver table, and two chairs opposite the table.

"Why did I get the feeling this room is an integration room like in those cop shows," Danny thought.

Outside of the room and looking at Danny from the window are Batman, Zatanna, and Cyborg.

"He seems calm for someone in this situation," said Zatanna.

"You shouldn't have seen him when we arrived at the Watchtower. He was asking a couple about it before I put him in the room," said Batman.

"He seems like a good kid. I don't understand why you brought him up here, Batman?" said Cyborg.

"It's important reasons that Danny is the only one who could answer them,"

"Is it the end of the world type of reason,"

"We're not sure," said Zatanna.

"By the way, Cyborg, did you get the information that T.O. morrow was looking on the computers in S.T.A.R. Labs?"

"No, he seems like he covers his trail very well. It's going to take a while until I find what he was looking for on the computer,"

"What's going on here?" the three heroes turn to see Superman walking up to them.

"We're just asking Danny a few questions," said Batman.

"About what?"

"About where he got the ring on his finger," said Zatanna.

"Ring?"

"It uses to belong to an evil ghost king name Pariah Dark who cause havoc with his army of skeletal ghosts,"

"And that ring gives the user unlimited power, and it's hard to find," said Batman.

"So, you two want to know where Danny got the ring and the situation about Pariah Dark," said Cyborg.

"Exactly, but we're not going to accuse him of anything. We want to talk to him," said Zatanna.

"Who's going to talk, Danny?" said Superman.

"I think I should talk to him with my experience on the occult,"

"I have to agree with Zatanna," said Batman.

"Alright, let's just hope we don't get any surprises," said Superman.

Zatanna walked into the room as Danny was yawning, and she got his attention. "Hello, do you know who I am?" said Zatanna.

"Um, Wizard women," said Danny, pointing to her.

"What, no I'm Zatanna,"

Danny rubs the back out his head, a bit embarrassed "sorry,"

"Anyway, I'm here to ask you a few questions," Zatanna sits down on the other end of the table.

"It's about my ring and Pariah Dark, right?"

"Yes,"

"Right, I can answer them. I got nothing to hide,"

"Okay then, so do you know what ring you're wearing?"

"Yes, it's the Ring of Rage,"

"And how did you obtain the ring?'

"It's easy. A friend of mine gave it to me,"

"Who?"

"A ghost by the name of Clockwork,"

"You mean the ghost of master of time,"

"Yep, he's kind of like a mentor to me,"

"Right, and Pariah Dark is out of his Sarcophagus?"

"Oh, don't worry about Pariah Dark. He still in his Sarcophagus, and he's not the ghost king anymore,"

"He's not, then who is?"

"Well, you're looking at him,"

Zatanna is shocked at what Danny said, and she responded, "you're the ghost king?"

"That's what I told you,"

"Sorry, Danny, but I find it hard to believe that you're the ghost king,"

"Oh, then about this," then the Crown of fire appeared over his head, "I'm sure you know what the crown is, right?"

"Crown of fire...how?"

"I told you I'm the Ghost king,"

"Why you?"

"Well, see, I didn't exactly tell you the whole story about Pariah Dark. See, a few years ago, a narcissist fruit loop ghost let Pariah out of his Sarcophagus to get the Crown. Pariah went on a rampage in the ghost zone and on a different earth. I and other spirits put him back in the Sarcophagus. A few months later, Clockwork and other higher up ghosts ask me to be the ghost king since I was the primary cause of defeating Pariah. I accept it; the rest is history.

"If you are the ghost king, then why are you here?"

"Someone summons me here in this world, and I've been trying to get back home while I use my power to help people,"

The room was silent for a moment. Zatanna breaks the silence. "I'll be right back," Zatanna got up and left the room.

"I hope she believes me," Danny thought.

Zatanna walks to Superman, Batman, and Cyborg, listening to the conversation between Danny and Zatanna.

"So, what do you guys think?" said Zatanna.

"I can't make heads or tails. Danny could be telling the truth, or he is just making the whole thing up," said Cyborg.

"And for all, we know he could be Pariah Dark in disguise and try to take over the world," said Batman.

"Superman, what do you think?" said Zatanna.

Superman thinks for a moment, "I think it's best we bring someone else in to see if Danny is telling the truth,"

"Who?"

"Wonder women, her lasso of truth can help in this situation,"

"Good idea. I'll bring Wonder women and get her up to speed. And see if Danny is the Ghost King,"
