Summoning the Ghost King (Old Version)

Chapter 4

When the sun begins to set at Metropolis park, Eli is waiting for his friend and the bullies to show up with the magic book in his hand.

"Men, I hope this plan works," Eli thought.

"Eli," Eli turns to a young girl about his age; she was a bit taller than Eli, she had green eyes, short blonde hair, and had some freckles. She wore a green hat, a long sleeve red shirt, blue jeans, white socks, and black shoes.

"Hey Riley," said Eli

"I hope you know what you are doing?" Riley puts her hands on her hip

"Of course I got this,"

"How do you get this? You can't summon a monster from a book that you got for seven bucks in some Chinatown,"

"Four dollars actually,"

"Who cares!" Riley nearly shouted

"Well, you shouldn't worry so much, Riley. I got a plan,"

"And that is?"

"It's secret," Eli winks at her.

Riley groans and shakes her head "your lucky that we've been for years I have to put up with this,"

"Yeah, I know,"

"I didn't think you actually show up, geek," Riley and Eli turn around to see two 13-year-old kids that have smug smiles.

The first kid was a tall boy, had tan skin, brown eyes, and red hair. He wore a black jacket, a blue t-shirt with violent cartoon Tigre in the shirt's center, grey shorts, white socks, and blue shoes. The second was a short boy, had kind of pasty skin, black hair, and grey eyes; he wore a yellow t-shirt, khaki pants, and flip-flops.

"Of course, I show up. We made a bet, Nick," said Eli

"Good because the whole school would have heard that your chicken," said the tall bully

"And Nick would have still pantsed you for being a geek," said the short bully

"You got that right, Carl,"

"Can't we just get this over with," said Riley

"I agree because my mom talking to me to the movies, so hurry up and fail already, Eli," said Nick

"Just follow me, jerk," said Eli

The four kids walk to the Forest part of the park. They come across a blue blanket in front of some bushes. In the center of the blanket is a black poster board with a purple circle that has random numbers inside of the circle.

"Is this suppose to scare us, Eli?" said Nick

"Yeah, it's doing the opposite," said Carl

"Eli, what is this?" said Riley

"It's a summoning circle," said Eli walking behind the poster board

"So what are you going to do? summon a pink and lame unicorn," said Carl

"Ha, good one, Carl," said Nick

"Don't worry dumb and dumber, I'll show you," said Eli

"Eli," said Riley

"I got this, Riley, trust me,"

Eli opens the book and starts to read aloud, "Oh great red beast from the eighth circle of hell. I summon you to appear before me, now!"

Things were quiet for a few moments before the two bullies started to laugh out loud.

"Wow, that was so lame freaking lame," said Nick
