Chapter 13

Manuel POV

"Hey Manu! Congrats!" Robert pat my shoulder as he walk out into the field. I smile and pat his back.

"Danke Robert" I smile. He nodded.

"How's the woman" He asks. I laugh and raise my eyebrow and nodded.

"Well...she has mood swings right now and later I have to buy groceries because she finish them all" I said. Robert laugh.

"Yo, Manu!" I heard my name was being called. I turn around and look at Basti running to me. Robert pat my shoulder and left. I look at Basti as he put his hand on my shoulder and catch his breath.

"Is it true?" He asks as he catches his breath. I narrow my eyes and look at him.

"True what?" I said. He rolled his eyes.

"Ruby pregnancy!" He yelled.

"Oh" I said and chuckle.

"Yes, it is true" I said. Basti smiles grew.

"Really?" He said. I nodded. Basti looks at the ground and chuckle. I wonder what was he thinking.

"Boys come on!" Pep yelled. We all form a circle and Pep begin talking.

Ruby POV

"Ruby I'm home!" I hear Manu said. I stands up from the couch and walk to the kitchen to see Manu with Basti holding groceries bags with them.

"Hey Manu...I didn't know you brought Basti here" I smile and help Manu putting the groceries away.

"Well Basti heard the news about you so he wanted to see you" Manu smile and kiss my cheek. I smile and look at Basti over Manu shoulder.

"I'm going to change, I'll be back" Manu said and walk upstairs. Basti quickly grab my waist and pull me against his chest.

"What are you doing!?" I whispered. Basti bit his lips and smile.

"Is it true you're pregnant? Who's the father?" Basti asks. I pulled away from his grip and cleared my throat.

"First Yes I am pregnant and second I don't know who's the father" I said. Basti nodded. He walk closer to me and cup my cheek. He was about to kiss me but I push him away.

"Basti...I can't do this anymore" I said. Basti smile turns into a frown.

"You said that last week but you ended kissing me" he said. His breathing was getting heavier.

"Yes but now I mean it" I breathe out. Basti back away from me.

"W-what?" His eyes were getting watery.

"I-I can't have a double life. I can't cheat on Manu no more. I'm a whore who's having an affair with her husband's best friend and He doesn't know it. And now I might have his child or you child. I want to do things right and I'm not living life like a whore. Basti I'm sorry if I keep doing this to both of you I'm hurting you guys and you guys will hurt my heart so I'm So sorry Basti, I will love you but I need to stop" I said. Basti gasps out tears and wipe it with his large hands.

"R-ruby I thought what we had was-" He cried out. I cried too.

"I'm sor-" before I could finish Basti left the house with the door slams shut. Manu walk in the kitchen and look back at the door. I quickly wipe my tears and smile.

"What was that about?" Manu asks. I smile and sniffle.

"Nothing" I said. Manu puts his arm on my hip and eat one of the blueberries that was on the counter.

"Where's Basti?" He asks.

"He left" I said.

"Why?" He asks.

"Oh...He said he needs to check on Tobias because he's back from Holland" I lied. Manu nodded and kiss my lips.

"I love you" he said and kiss me more. I smile and push him off me.

"Manu, I need to tell you something" I was finally going to tell what I have done this past couple of weeks. Manu turns to face me while his mouth was chewing the blueberries.

"I-" My lack of confidence turns downs and I chuckle "love you too."

Manu smiles and kiss my cheek and pops more blueberries into his mouth.

*Next day*

"Yo, Where have you been!?" Cara asks as we help the USWNT practice.

"Dude, I've been growing hormones all week" I said. Cara laughs and nodded.

"What? It's not like your pregnant" Cara laughs. She stops when she saw me glaring at her.

"Are you!?" She asks in shock. She scream and she hugs me.

"You are! When are you going to tell me this! You asshole!" She said. I shrug.

"I was going to today but you figured it out" I shrug.

"Manu's little man or woman" She rub my stomach which have a small bumb already.

"Dude! Cut it out" I slap her hand. She chuckle and put her arm around me.

"And I shall be their godmother" Cara sigh. I push her arm and walk away.

"Sure" I said. I heard Cara laughs and walk with me.

"Julian wants to have a baby with Me" Cara said. I gape my eyes at her. (Idk if that makes sense).

"Since when is this!?" I yelled.

"Last night" Cara said. I shook my head.

"My son shall tell me this not you" I said. Cara shrug.

"Come by the house and we'll tell you" She said. I nodded and storm off to practice with Alex.
