Chapter 5

Ruby POV

"Shut up!" I said silently. It's 3:03 in the morning and Basti can't stop snoring. I swear if he doesn't stop, I going to shove Nutella up his mouth! A minute later, He keeps snoring.

"That's it!" I whispered. I tap Basti shoulder and look at his sleeping face.

"Basti! Shut your mouth! I can't sleep! Your mouth keeps snoring like a donkey trying to poop! Shut up!" I said. Basti didn't say anything for a while but then he pulled me into his chest. Holding me tight with his strong arms.

"This is very comfortable" I said "But seriously Basti stop snoring!" I whisper. I felt his smile against my cheek. I smile too and went to sleep.

"Ruby!" I heard someone yelled. My eyes quickly shot open. I jump out of bed and grab a fork that was on my night stand.

"Who's there!?" I yelled. They didn't reply. I walk down the stairs slowly and walk through the kitchen.

"Hah!" I jump, scaring Sky and Erik. Sky put her hand on her heart.

"Geez Ruby! What the hell!" she said. She look at the fork I was using and so did Erik.

"Really a fork?" Erik asks. I shrugg.

"You gonna hurt someone with a fork?" Erik said.

"Hey it can be dangerous too! See" I said and pretend to stab Erik's stomach. He laugh and move away the fork.

"I told you" I wink at Sky. She rolled her eyes.

"Where's Basti?" Erik asks.

"Who the Donkey? He's upstairs, sleeping" I said. Erik laughs.

"Wake him up, we're going shopping" Sky said. I groan.

"It's only 10! I fell asleep at 3! Because this donkey keeps snoring like a maniac!" I yelled. Erik cracked up except Sky.

"Eh, fine we'll wait for you until 11" She said.

"I'm awake now! The hell! You want me to go back and sleep and then you wake me up again? I ain't wasting my gas! I'm going to take a shower. You guys go wake up the snoring donkey" I said. They nodded and I went upstairs.

"Come on Basti!" I dragged him into the shoes store.

"Why do I have to do this!?" Basti complain. I roll my eyes and look at the shoes.

"Me too bro, me too" Erik said. Sky look at the shoes next to me. I hold up a cute floral Adidas Zx Flux.

"What do you think Basti?" I bit my lips. He look at the shoe and examine it.

"It suits you" He smile. I smile.

"Erik, do you like this?" Sky hold up a red vans. Erik was about to make a face but stop immediately.

"It looks ugly" He said. I cracked up. Sky punch my shoulder and I quickly stop laughing.

"I'm glad you're honest" She said and put the shoe back and continue searching for another one. I gave Erik a low five and giggle quietly.

"Hey, so Basti, you're not going to buy anything? Like maybe perhaps a snoring medicine so you can stop snoring at night" I said. Basti laugh and shook his head no.

"I'm here to keep you company, I'm not here to shop" He chuckle. I rolled my eyes. I walk to the cashier.

"Hi, can I have size 7 and size 11 for men" I asks the man. He smile and took the shoe. Later he came back with two boxes.

"Thank you" I smile. I sat down on the chair and try on my shoes.

"What do you guys think?" I asks, showing them the shoes.

"It's cute, suits you well" Erik nodded. Basti nodded too.

"Why do you have 2 boxes?" Basti asks. One for you and one for me.

"Oh that one is for Manu" I smile. Basti nodded and walk away. I walk to Erik.

"It's actually for him" I whisper. Erik nodded.

"What going on between you two?" Erik asks.

"I don't know, he keeps telling me that he loves me and keeps doing all these sweet things to me. I barely see Manu because of his football games and sometimes none of us sees each other you know. I'm starting to think Basti is the only one who's there for me" I said. Erik nodded.

"Do you?" Erik asks. I narrow my eyebrows.

"Do I what?" I asks.

"Do you love him back?" he asks me. I didn't say anything for a minute. I bit my lips.

"Yes."
