Chapter 9

"you must accept me y/n" a deep voice sounded through the dark room "i will never accept you, you will not take over me" i said panting, something was draining my energy "im not evil y/n you must accept me" a pair of bright blue eyes were staring at me "NEVER" i fell on the floor feeling so weak, what's happening i'm starting to feel so weak out of nowhere, "then i'll have to take over ur brother" the deep voice said, illumi was standing now in front of me a dark void was slowly swallowing him "NO BOTHER" "y/n-" "y/n dear~" i opened my eyes slowly to see someone there shaking me i quickly got up and hugged them "hmm what a pleasant surprise~" oh no, i quickly let go of the person i was hugging, uhhgg why do i always do this when i wake up from a nightmare "s-sorry i thought you were my brother for a second" i lied, "it looked like you were having a nightmare, screaming and moving in your sleep dear~" "yeah i was kinda having one" i look over at illumi and he was sitting still with gaby sleeping on his shoulder, how can she still be around him when his looking like that- "brother you knew i was having one and you know what was going to happen why did you let him wake me up?" i said "i can't move" illumi said, i rolled my eyes at him "what a nice brother i have" i mumbled, hisoka chuckled "i think you owe me something i'm quite bored now~" i looked at him, i guess it wouldn't hurt just one game "fine but just one game" i said while sitting across from him, in a crisscross sit "fine with me~" he said shuffling the cards, his hands look so sexy while doing that, yeah no we did not just think that, he started giving the cards "so what card game are we playing" i ask "seven~" he said while finishing, indeed there was seven cards laying in front of me and seven in front of his he placed the cards left in the middle and took the first one and flipped it laying it next the the deck of cards between us "uhh? how do i play this?" "well to win you must have 3 matching cards and 4 matching cards, for example lets say you have a matching card of the one laying up right now, you would take it and place a diferent card that you have in your hand down on the pile laying up, now if the card that it's in the pile doesn't match any of yours you will take one from the pile laying dow, if it matches one in your hand then you will take it and drop another that you don't need but if it doesn't match you will throw it in the pile facing up and it will be my turn, you must never have more or less than 7 cards~" (a/n:sorry if that didn't make sense idk how else to explain the rules)he explained, i was looking at his every move while he explained the rules he looked so determined on explaining it was so cute, no were learning not looking at his 'cuteness' i facepalm my self mentally honestly ur just as wierd as he is y/n "ok ok i get it... i guess" i mumbled the last part "alright then let's begin~".

*4 Hours later*

"urghhh is not fair ur cheating" i throw my cards down "don't accuse me of such things i wouldn't dare to~" hisoka had won every single match, i know i said it would be just one but i kinda got carried away "hisoka is not fun when i'm the one always loosing" i crossed my arms "is not my fault im just that good~" he said picking up the cards "care for another match~?" i looked at him, hmm this time i think i can win, i nodded and he started passing the cards again. I took the cards and we started playing, not going to lie i was having a good time with hisoka even though i was the one always loosing. Okay one more of this one and i win i got this, it was hisokas turn and he took a card from the pile that was facing down, plis don't be one of his, he looked at the card for a good second "I win~" he said placing the card on the one in his hand and taking out another, he showed me his cards and inded he had won "urhgggg u got to be kidding meee i was so closeeee" i whined throwing my cards down "ok im not playing this anymore" i said while crossing my arms "oh but i was having so much fun~" he said pouting "i'm tired so imma go to sleep " i said while getting up then i remembered the dream i had earlier shills went down my body just from the thought of it "never mind i'll stay up" i said while taking a sit next to hisoka "why the sudden change in mind dear~?" hisoka ask, what do i tell him "i-i want you to teach me how to build a card tower" i said, damn now your stuck with this clown, i facepalm mentality, you idiot you should have just said you weren't tired anymore, "oh i see~, well is quite easy you just have to stack the cards like this~" hisoka said while taking two cards and placing them, "oh ok i think i can do this" i took some cards from hisoka and started building the tower, it fell halfway i was making it "shit it took so much time just to make the first layer" i whined "try again dear~" hisoka said placing his last 2 cards at the top of the tower, i look at it, it looks so good i want to just slap it down, i smile to my self and sway my hand so i can slap the card tower down, but just when i was about to do it hisoka grabbed my wrist "if you do that you'll have to owe me another game~" he said while letting my hand go "whatever" i said while trying to build the tower again, he picked up his cards and started shuffling, my eyes were closing on their own, i was so tired i was struggling to be up, i rested my head on the wall "i'm taking a quick nap" i said while closing my eyes not long after that i fell into a deep sleep.

i slowly opened my eyes, i was in a different position than when i fell asleep i was laying down and my head was comfortably laying on some soft cloth i look up and see hisoka with his arms crossed and head laying against the wall i think he was asleep, wait why am i- i quickly got up, i was laying on hisokas lap, but when and how- i groan "there are 2 hours remaining" the speaker said, what just 2 hours was i really sleeping for that long, i stretch my arms out yawning, i look around and there were a lot more applicants sitting around the room now "i'm so hungry, didn't they gave food or something?" i mumbled talking to my self "they did but your lazy ass was sleeping" gaby said walking my way "why didn't you wake me up?" i asked gaby "well because hisoka didn't let me" i look at hisoka "first why? and second how did i end up laying in your lap" i said knowing full well he was fake sleeping, he didn't say anything "hisoka i know ur faking" hisoka chuckled "you caught me~, you looked so peaceful i didn't want anyone to wake you, and you yourself said 'it's so uncomfortable' and laid your head in my lap saying 'ahh this is better'~" hisoka said "i didn't do that you liar!!" "yes you did" gaby said looking at me, i blushed from embarrassment and looked away "whatever".

Gaby sat next to me "here you can eat this" she said while grabbing a bag with something inside and handing it to me, i took it "what's this" i ask "they're hot cross buns, i made them" gaby said, "huh? never heard of those" i said while opening the bag and taking one out "yeah they're originally from where i came from" oh that's right she's from the UK but moved when she was little so she could be train an assassin, i took a bite from the bun and omg it was delicious "what the hell this is so good" i said taking another bite "yeah ofc i made them" she said in a sassy tone "may i try one~" hisoka asked with a hand out waiting for me to give him one "no" i said while hiding the bag behind me and holding the piece of the bun i was eating in my mouth "why not?~" he said pouting "mfecause i mfdon't wnt share wiff u" i said with the bun still in my mouth, he took the bun i was holding in my mouth and took a bite "hisokaa thats mineee" i try to take it away from him but he holds me back while eating the whole thing "you son of a b- " "now you two are acting childish" gaby said "but he ate my bun and i told him not tooo" i whined "i just wanted to try it darling~" "stop with the nicknames" i snapped at him "three minutes remain" the speaker said "already" i said getting up and looking around the room, killua and gon were nowhere to be found, did he not pass "i guess my little unripe fruit won't make it after all~" hisoka said, "what are you talking ab-" a door opened and a man all beaten up walked out "i....made.....it" he said and dropped to the floor another applicant checked and he was dead "damn what a moron is better to survive and try again next year than a pass and died trying" another applicant said, he was right "1 minute remaining" "so that's it then looks like is just 21 of us that are already here" an applicant said, i thought killua would pass, i look at hisoka and he had his eyes close smirking "what are you smirking about clo-" a door opened, kurapika, killua, and gon came out from it, they made it!!! "kurapika #404 is the 23rd to pass, killua #99 is the 24th to pass, Gon #405 is the 25th to pass, time elapsed 71 hours 59 minutes" the speaker announced "boy my but hurrtss, i certainly wasn't expecting the short and easy pass to be a slide" killua whined "so you guys made it, cutting it close don't you think gaby" i said walking up to them "they certainly did" she said walking next to me "ah don't complain at least we passed idiot" killua said crossing his arms "inakkiii, gabyyy" gon said exited while running to us and hugging both of us at the same time "heyy i'm glad you made it kid" i said ruffling his hair, i walk up to kurapika "so leorio didn't made it huh?" i said "who... said.... i didn't... pass" leorio said struggling to get pass tonpa "leorio #403 is 26 to pass, tonpa #16 is the 27th to pass, time elapsed 71 hours 59 minutes" "i'm actually surprised you made it leorio" i said smirking "hey what's that supposed to mean?" he whined angrily, i chuckled a bit "nothing" i said "The third phase of the hunter exam it's over 27 applicants has passed including one diseased* the speaker announced.
