"Never-ending Memories"
The rain was melting away the snow with a vengeance. March was peeking through and fast too. I remember long walks in the park when he wasn't that big in the league. People would ignore or I would say, not notice him.
Now...the graveyard was full of dead flowers. No one brought fresh ones anymore but it had been some years.
Still it didn't stop the dreams from coming....
"Wake up beautiful."
Giggling to myself, I rolled over, pretending that he didn't exist. It wasn't the smartest move because it would land me in tickle-land, some place that reminded you of Neverland...peter pan. Our first movie together we ever watched. It was nice, weird but a wonderful tale about a girl and a boy finding a different perspective to life.
"Stop Carter, I'm tired." I got ready; I could feel his warmth and his invitation pressing against my backside.
"No girl...you know daddy want some early morning attention." His breath on my neck was even more inviting.
Rolling over, our eyes met. His brown hair had a habit of brushing against my forehead as he gave that signature gaze in his eyes, I loved so much.
"You are absolutely beautiful and I absolutely don't want anyone else, absolutely." He kissed the tip of my nose making me growl and push his lying ass off me.
"You didn't say that when Sophia Lynn Barker wore short skirts to English."
"Babe...the girl had killer legs!" He said in his defense, sitting up on our bed.
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes and the thin sheet fell off my body, revealing my goodies as I stretched.
"D-Damn baby," He wrapped his arm around my waist and freely pulled me back with little effort.
"I'm not playing with you boy!" I popped his arm and I felt the sting under my finger-tips.
"That hurt Vel!" He pushed me off nearly knocking me to the floor. Instantly, I protected the baby by covering my belly with my arm.
"Really Carter!?" I tried balancing myself and crawled over to the wall to get up with support.
"I-I'm sorry baby," he shrugged.
I shook my head and kicked him out...this time, I realized he was dead and when I ran after him, he was gone.
"Shit!" I sat up from my sleeping spot. With my hair dripping with sweat, I knew I had an issue. Either I was coming down with something or I needed to see the next level counselor for my issue.
"Y-You alright?"
A hand touched me which nearly threw me off the bed...no couch.
"Where am I?!" I replied.
"Calm down, you are at my house...I guess, last night, I had a rough drink." He turned the lamp on allowing me to see my surroundings well.
We were in the living room. I was on the couch and he was in some chair right beside me. He leaned up and rubbed the back of his neck.
"I have a fuckin' crook in my neck." He groaned painfully.
"Why am I here?" I asked again.
"I---what the hell's wrong with you Velvet? You helped me home last night because I got fucked up at the club. I don't remember shit else only you screaming ...."
