"Gentle... You watch me walk into darkness over and over and you always worry... thank you."

"I've come to consider you a friend inquisitor... I have precious few of those"

"For your Herald! For the Inquisitor!"

The Night Is Long, And the Path is Dark

"You! I trusted you to protect them, to keep them safe! This is your fault!"

"He's gone... I'm so sorry Varric I couldn't..."

Look to the Sky, For One Day Soon...

The Dawn Will Come

The room was dimly lit by a single candle on the desk, its light flickered off the stone walls, giving the room a warm, soft glow. He let out a small breath, taking the quill into his calloused hands. Maker, he detested letters. He never knew what to write, and he found his hand writing was rather childish and difficult to read. But he knew this was his only form of contact with her when she was on long expeditions such as this one, and he had come to the conclusion rather quickly that letters were better than no contact at all. With one heavy sigh he dipped the quill in the dark inkwell and began to write;
