Violet lied on her bed, looking up at the ceiling, she had black earbuds in her ears which were connected to her phone. She knew what an iphone was and how to use it, it did take some time but eventually she got good at it. She hummed to the songs of the vampire lestat, she seemed to enjoy his music very much. It was not only his voice that captivated her but the story behind the lyrics of each song, she could understand how it felt to be alone or be treated like an outcast. It was something that Violet could relate to, she wondered if Lestat knew her thoughts on them. "Enjoying my songs I see." said a voice, Violet sat up with a start. "Damn you Lestat." she cursed, taking off her headphones, then pausing the music. "How the hell did you find me?" she asked. Lestat chuckled. "let's just say it is easy to find another one of our kind, even if they are not a part of it." he said. Violet nodded to show she understood. It had been over a month since she met him, they came across one another here and there but this was the first time Lestat had made himself known to her inside her own apartment. "I like this place of yours." he said, looking around. "It reminds me of.."

"your flat in the rue royale." violet finished. Lestat smirked. "Yes." he turned to face her. "So you have read my books, clever girl."

"Well, not all of them. Just the first three, I might read the rest of them, that's if you allow me to."

"Not at all, I don't care who reads them, like I had said in my writings, many who read the words I have written think of it as fiction. Others choose to believe my story is real, what does it matter. I wrote those books out of loneliness and an urge to be known, I wanted attention for once, I hated being the one who had to be forced to live in the shadows." Lestat said, starting to get upset. Violet could feel his pain, all he ever wanted was to loved and appreciated by someone, it is what any vampire would want. Mortals do desire love of course but, the immortal soul desires it even more. Violet stood up and placed a hand on his shoulder, his head bowed and a hand hand on his forehead. "I know what it is to be treated like an outcast Lestat, believe me I do. I have my own kind, that's wonderful but I feel like there is something missing as well." she said in a low and calming voice. "Look at me." she said, taking her hands in his. "you have nothing to be ashamed of Lestat, you did what you believed was right and as did I. I only wanted peace and order between my people and all who are mortal. Most of all I wanted to be loved by all, and if not all then just a few. If no one will give you the love you desire then I will, I shall be by your side always, you have my word." Lestat smiled, he felt better with violet at his side.

"Thank you Violet." he said, stroking her cheek with the back of his hand. He caressed her cheek lovingly, his brown eyes looking into hers. He slowly leaned in letting his lips touch hers, Violet was surprised at first but then melted into the kiss. The kiss was slow and passionate, and it made her feel important. After a few minutes they slowly pulled away, Violet blushed. It was the first time in centuries that she had felt such love for someone. "I've been wanting to do that since I first met you Violet, you have always been there for me when no one else would. what I mean to say is...I love you Violet Mazurski." he said. "I love you too Lestat De Lioncourt." she replied. Lestat chuckled. "for once someone pronounces my last name correctly." he joked. Violet laughed while rolling her eyes. She kissed him on the cheek before lying down with him. Promising to be at his side always as she fell asleep in his arms.
