You woke up to the sound of whimpering, you slowly sat up, rubbing your sleepy eyes and glancing at Lestat who was lying next to you. It took you a minute to realize that the whimpering was coming from him. His skin was burning. You looked up to see that someone had opened the curtains halfway, you gasped and ran over to shut the curtains. "Who the hell?!" you cursed. you looked down to see a silver coin, you picked it up and looked at it angrily. "Damn those children!" you cursed. There were other vampires here on the island that hated Lestat, all because he was different from everyone else. It angered you just thinking about it, you thought it was perfectly fine being different. It did not matter what you were, you were vital no matter what. those fledglings could go fuck themselves for all you cared. "Next time they bother Lestat I swear I will set a curse upon them, permanently!" you thought. Lestats whimpering soon stopped, and it left him moaning in pain, half asleep.

You came over to him about to heal him with your magic when you suddenly witnessed his scars healing on their own. And that they had healed very fast, faster than any other vampire you encountered. This was troubling but, fascinating to say the least. He woke up with a start. "Lestat!" you said softly. "It's alright, I'm here." you comforted him as best you could, helping him to calm down. He looked at you. "What happened?" he asked. "It was those fledgling children, they had left the curtain open again. only this time the sunlight touched you." you explained. Lestats eyes looked innocent, like a child after being bullied. It was almost as if he were going to cry. "Lestat I swear I will make them pay for this, those children have bullied you for far too long." you said. You then explained what the spell would do if you casted it upon the building, assuring that no one will dare to enter. the spell would create a ward that would only allow you to enter if it sensed you were not a threat. After some explanation Lestat agreed and let you cast the spell. the ward was invisible to mortals, but to the undead it was not.

"There, that should do it. Now, I must tend to the king and queen." you were about to enter the secret passage when Lestat stopped you. "Y/N?" he called out. you stopped in your tracks. "Yes Lestat?" you asked, turning to face him. he hesitated at first but then came up with the courage to speak. "Thank you." he said. you smiled a bit. "You're welcome. now, if you will excuse me." you said before bending over to move the wooden table out of the way, revealing the switch that opened the passage. you turned the key and it opened the door. you entered the passage without another word.
