"It's me, Donna. Luisa Claire Stilinski," I said.
"Your not, your a shifter" She pushed the knife harder on my throat. The people in the bar had looked out way before turning to their own business.
"I'm not shifter aunt Donna." She looked me in the eyes.
"Goddammit, Donna! I thought dad told you when you talked on the phone. I never died okay, I was missing" I was getting angry. I switched our position and took the knife from her hand and threw it on the table.
She took a step back before looking closer at me. Studying me.
"Your different, you look the same"
"Yeah, I know. I don't really want to talk about that" I said thinking back to all the experiments and shit.
"How do you know about shifters anyway?" I asked her curiously. Before she was innocent, she wasn't involved with the supernatural world. She was safe.
"Vampire's" She stated.
"Vampires, those are real" I was shocked. We sat down at the table.
"How do you know about shifters?"
"I came across one in South America, I was hunting a were-jaguar, sister to a...a friend?" I wasn't really sure if I was going to call Chris a friend.
"A Were what?" now she was confused.
"Werejaguar"
"A lot has been going on I see. In both our lives. But I am happy you're okay and alive."
"I'm not really sure about the okay part but, yeah, thank you," I said looking down at the table.
Donna and I were chatting for hours. The sun was starting to come up and she told me about all the things that go bump in the night and She thought it was weird that it didn't freak me out. She would be surprised if she knew.
We walked out of the bar and I gave her my number. Donna went to get a few hours of sleep before driving home. She had been in Iowa for a hunt. I went to my room and finished my book, I left it on the table for the next person to read.
Donna and I went for breakfast before we stopped outside my room. I told her to call me if she ever needed something or just wanted to talk. I said goodbye to her and got my bag and checked out.
It had been a long night, but at least it hadn't been quiet. Now that I was informed about what was out there, I never needed my arsenal more than I needed it now.
For the next two months, I occupied myself with hunts, phone calls to my family and Derek, and an occasional one night stand. But the one thing I still didn't get much of was sleep.
I was sitting at a diner in Missouri eating my burger. It had gotten dark out. I was reading some newspaper when I got a call from Donna. I answered after the second ring.
"Hey aunt, Donna," I said sipping some of my soda.
"Hey Luisa, I...um. I need your help" She said. She sounded sad, I sat up straighter and threw some money on the table, grabbing my jacket, and headed out to my car.
"What's wrong Donna."
"I need all the help I can get, and from what you told me about your time in South America your good at tracking people." I could hear her voice shaking.
"Donna, tell me what happened."
"Wendy's missing," She said.
"I'm on my way Donna, don't worry. I'll see you soon." I hung up and made my way over as fast as I could.
