Ever since her parents died in a car accident, Amy's only companion and confidant is her bestfriend, James. Everywhere she goes, James will be by her side. No matter what happens. Her annoying brother, Harry, works at a nearby Old Town Cafe down the street to support the both of them.
Amy and James went to the Eastern Highschool in their sophomore year. Being a geek and always get the first place in every examinations, Amy's only friend is of course, James. Nobody would bother to even notice her existance in the class. But that doesn't stop her for having a crush on the coolest, famous, sporty guy in the school-Jason Wood. That guy has the perfect teeth line, cute little wrinkles by his eyes and dimples on each side of his cheeks when he smiles. In Eastern Highschool, being near to Jason is every girl's dream. Including Amy. If there is a perfect girl's dream guy, there must be a perfect boy's dream girl. And the girl we're seeing is of course the daughter of the town's mayor-Samantha Lex. With black curly hair, round eyes, dimple on her right cheek and milky-white skin, everyone will turn their heads towards her when she walked through the school's corridor.
Amy always wanted to be perfect but James always tells her, ''You're perfect to me. You don't have to change anything.'' But Amy knows that James said that just to please her heart.
Since the school reopened, they had met new teachers. Including Mr. Johnson in Biology class, Ms. Anne in History and Mr. Michaelangelo in Literature. Every student in sophomore year has always been in a good relationship with Mr. Michaelangelo but not with Ms. Anne and Mr. Johnson. They said that the way Ms. Anne teaches History is so boring that they always slipped out of the class whenever she turned towards the blackboard to jot down some history facts. While in Mr. Johnson's class, he really has this kind of accent that makes students couldn't quite understand the thing he's saying in class. In the end, Mr. Johnson always get laughed at. Its a pity to see him being laughed at. Once the principal came to their class and told them that Mr. Johnson is different from the other teachers. Amy and James had so much fun together in each classes. Having recess together- eating sandwiches in the school canteen.
But a few weeks later, things begin to change. Not the way James wanted to.
