SEVENTEEN- THE SICKNESS OF ANTICIPATION

It's extremely safe to say that operation kill Dumbledore with a necklace went very wrong. Snape came to us late that evening and told us that Katie Bell had to go to the hospital wing; she unwrapped the wrappings and touched it, she's lucky that she isn't dead, and I am thankful that she isn't. Its bad enough that I have to take one innocent life, let alone another one.

It is also extremely safe to say that Snape was absolutely furious, that was very evident by the way he swooped into both of our rooms and dragged us out of our beds, his black, beady eyes burning into both of our souls while we both sat in his office like little children, being scolded. Despite his anger, he agreed that he would not tell the dark lord about our "silly little plot". Snape was more angry that we didn't inform him about it, rather than the actual situation itself. He also told us that Potter, Weasley and Granger were the ones to find Katie, of course, you can always count on saint Potter to save the day. Wanker.

Snape also told us that Potter was very quick to tell Professor Mcgonagall and himself that Draco and I were the ones who did it, which of course we did but apparently Snape vouched for us as soon as he uttered our names, telling them that Draco and I had been in the three broomsticks and left because I had drunk too much. Also true. Luckily, a group of Ravenclaws including Cho Chang told Snape that she had seen Draco carrying me out of the pub, after they had seen me fall over face first into the snow.

Although I am relieved that Draco and I have managed to get away with it, the feeling of relief quickly goes away however at the realisation that we have now fallen all the way back down to square one, meaning that the familiar feeling of panic clouds my mind once again.

There is nothing that either of us can do about it now though, we will have to try and somewhat forget about it until we come back in the new year, as today we will be going home for the Christmas break. I honestly just feel like I am leaving one hell to visit another one; there's no escaping negativity whatsoever these days. It's laughable that I could even think that forgetting anything is possible, it's inevitable that it's all I will be forced to speak about in these next coming weeks.

"I've given your bags in already my love, are you ready to go? The train is waiting" Draco's voice pulled me out of my deep thoughts. Nodding my head yes, I wiped the tear that fell from my eye, praying to every great wizard that he hadn't noticed. But of course, he did.

"Why are you crying?" He asked, now very close to me and holding a very concerned look upon his chiselled features. Sniffing slightly, I buried my face into his shoulder.

"I just don't want to face any of them, I don't want to see my father and I don't want to have to explain why we have struggled to do any of this shit" My voice cracked more and more with each word I spoke, he sighed in return.

"We will deal with it when we have to" He said, almost with no emotion. "I'm telling you what though" He perked up a little bit.

"what?" I replied, lifting my head from his shoulder to look at him.

"I can't wait to get you back into my room" He hummed happily, causing a giggle to escape my lips.

"Is that so?"

"Absolutely, so hurry up and get the rest of your things" He smirked, lightly smacking my bum as he did so.

It may sound absurd to anyone else that Draco's way of consoling me is by telling me how excited he is to sleep with me, but I know his game- he knows that no words will make me feel better, so distraction is the next best thing. Distraction, although not a long term solution works wonders.

"Katerina, before you go we need to have a conversation" Pansy stated, folding her arms and standing firmly in front of the door. Both of us looked at Draco, who stood next to me looking at Pansy, expectant for her to continue. She opened the door behind her, using her arms to signal for him to leave, but he stood still.
