This accursed world. Riddled with beings only certain people can see. Only "special" humans can see. So why? Why can you see them? How are you any different from the others? You didn't see yourself as special. Just an average human.
Yet, you could see these foul creatures. Foul beings that looked as if they could devour you whole. Probably could devour you whole. This pestilential world that you had to live within.
You found yourself wondering the vague, empty streets. With no particular destination in mind. No end goal. No amount of persuasion can stop you from walking aimlessly.
You came across an abandoned school. Well, one you thought was abandoned. Your limbs freezing up at the entrance. The eery air the building gave off gave you an uncomfortable feeling. Your legs refusing to budge. The cool air brushing against the metal limb, sending a chill down the base of your neck.
"Come on stupid legs. Move." You cursed your being.
What a stupid body I have. A thought constantly running rampant in your mind. Cursing your every fibre. Your family hated you and now it felt like you body was ready to betray you.
Growing up, you were ill-fated with the fact that your parents were sorcerers. Hating you was just their hobby. They wanted rid of you the day you cried out into the damnable world. So they dragged you along to one of their missions, forcing you to hold your own. In exchange for death. Which never came for you. The only thing that came was the loss of two limbs.
You gathered up your courage and climbed the gate of the abandoned school and headed inside. The eery feeling you felt before? It grew stronger the farther in you went. Until, you were face to face with a curse.
You quickly drew your sword and sliced the curse underneath its body. Slicing straight through the middle. Careful to make sure the curse was indeed dead. You headed further in and found yet more curses. You sliced and sliced until you could no longer see any. You sat down in the corner of a room. Aiming to recover lost stamina.
Without even realising it, you closed your eyes. Submitting to the slumber you never knew was coming. You fell prey to any other curses that may still be inhabiting the abandoned building you had snuck into.
~Elsewhere in the abandoned school~
"Sensei. I sense curses. And someone's cursed energy." A voice says."Oh? I didn't even know there was another person here." Someone replies.
"Mhm. It wasn't in the report." The first replies.
"Oh look. There's someone over there." The second person says.
"Where?" The first replies.
"There." The Sensei points out to his student.
"I'm gonna go get rid of the rest of the curses. You stay with them." The Sensei says.
"Ok. Hello?" The first voice calls out.
You were petrified. The rush of adrenaline you had earlier had finally worn off. Bringing forth the sheer panic you had avoided. It wasn't a situation you had been in before. But surely one you would never like to be in. You turned to face the voice, still coated in panic. You dared not speak. For you were still scared.
"Oh. There you are. What's your name?" The voice asked.
"..." You gave no response. Still trembling with fear.
"I'm Fushiguro Megumi." He says, offering his hand to the poor girl.
She took his hand and stood up, stumbling a little as she stood. Not used to sitting on the cold floor. She dusted any dirt from the back of her trousers and looked at the person in front of her, still not saying a word. The boy started walking towards where his Sensei was but felt something tug his sleeve back.
"What's up? Something there?" He asked.
You shook your head 'no' and the boy turned to walk away again. This time, you followed. You chose to walk behind him, rather than beside him. Eventually, you arrived at the carnage. Where the other person who was with Megumi was stood. You placed your hand over your mouth, ready to throw up anything. You turned your head away from the scene, not daring to look back.
"Yo. Megumi. Manage to figure out what happened?" The Sensei asked.
"No. She hasn't said anything since I found her." Megumi explains.
"Huh. Well I'm Gojo Satoru. A teacher at Jujutsu High. Can you tell me what happened here?" Gojo asked.
You shook your head 'no' again as if to say you couldn't bare to relay the events that just took place.
"Ok. Well then did you cause all the carnage at the entrance of the school?" Gojo asked.
You reluctantly nodded your head 'yes' and still refused to face the two in front of you. Why were two complete strangers willing to help you? You couldn't understand it. You then reluctantly turned to face the two people in front of you, still refusing to say a word. You drew out your sword and acted out what happened.
"So. You got curious and decided to have a look inside. Keeping your sword in its sheath as you walked around. The rush of adrenaline was why you were able to take out the curses without any real recollection. Once the adrenaline wore off, you realised and succumbed to your fear. And now you're too scared to even speak. Sound about right?" Gojo asked you.
You nodded your head, 'yes' as you looked at the floor. Still not daring to face the people in front of you.
"Your cursed energy is strong. What'd you say? Care to join us at Jujutsu Tech?" Gojo asks.
You nod your head 'yes' and followed the two to the school in question. This was it. The day your life drastically changed.
