Chapter 9 - ✨ めぐみとの朝食✨

You woke up relatively early and headed downstairs to the cafeteria. Megumi was already there so you greeted him. He blushed at the outfit you were wearing. A pair of shorts with a loose-fitting t-shirt. You grabbed some breakfast and sat directly opposite Megumi.

"Morning!" You beamed.

"Morning. You seem in a good mood." Megumi says.

"Wha- Am I not allowed to be happy?" You pout.

"No that's not what I meant. It's been a while since I've seen you smile." Megumi says.

Soon, Nobara and Yuji headed inside the cafeteria. There mouths agape at the sight of you and Megumi having a conversation. That or they saw your arm.

"Wha- Y/N. You're talking now?!" Yuji says in shock.

"Well. Like Megumi helped me see last night. I stopped talking because of a situation I faced. Since I've been at Jujutsu High, I haven't faced the same thing twice." You explain.

"Wait. What happened to your arm?! And leg?!" Yuji adds.

"Oh this. Well a couple years ago I... you know what. Never mind." You say.

"Oh..." Yuji says, slightly upset.

"It's kind of a personal thing. I got forced to fight a curse. That's all I'm gonna say." You say.

"Right..." Nobara says.

You all ate your food before you decided to go off and train by yourself. You trained by yourself a while before someone else joined you.

"Hey. Wanna go 1 on 1?" The girl asks.

"Sure." You say.

"Ok. But I won't go easy on you." The girl says.

You fought with the mystery person a while before she beat you. You pouted but continued on again. After a couple attempts you still hadn't managed to beat her.

"I'm Maki." She says.

"Y/N." You reply.

"Oh. You're the first year Megumi and Gojo found. But I heard you didn't speak." Maki says.

"Well I didn't until last night. Megumi made me realise something. The only reason I stopped speaking was because of the situation I placed myself in." You explain.

"Makes sense. Also, you're very agile." Maki points out.

"Thank you. I have a metal leg." You say nonchalantly.

"How can you say that so causally?!" Maki exclaims.

"Salmon." Another person adds.

"Y/N! There you are." Yuji says.

"Oh. So you found the second years." Megumi says.

"I'm Panda and this is Inumaki." A panda explains.

"A. A talking panda?!" Yuji exclaims.

"Why are you so shocked? This is normal for me. There used to be something similar to Panda protecting the village I lived in back when I was little." You said.

"Huh." Yuji and Nobara say at the same time.

"Anyway. Let's train. We have the sister event coming up soon!" Maki exclaims.

"Y/N. Megumi. You two are with me. You two first years are with Panda." Maki says.

"They drew the short end of the stick on that one." You mutter.

You then began training with Maki and Megumi before she realised the two of you weren't that great in hand-to-hand combat so she had you go against Megumi. You were both reluctant at first but then started sparring each other. You went one round and managed to get Megumi on the floor. You were shocked and then quickly helped him up.

You went again a couple more times but Megumi won the rest of the fights. You were too distracted by Megumi. And the other first years being beaten by Panda. You were giggling too much. Megumi helped you up before Maki gave you both tips and then you went at it again.

You practiced a few more times before giving up. The heat was a bit much for you. Especially with your automail arm and leg. You got up from the floor and went off to look for some shelter. Megumi and Maki weren't sure where you went so they both went looking for you.

"Y/N? Oh. There you are." Maki says.

"Megumi! Over here!" Maki says.

"Oh. Y/N. There you are." Megumi says.

"Why'd you come here?" Maki asks.

"The heat." Was all you said.

"..."

"Oh. Right. Your arm and leg." Megumi says.

"Yeah. Hot weather doesn't quite help my current situation." You explain.

"I can imagine." Megumi says.

"Can you get it wet?" Maki asks.

"Yeah." You say, wiping sweat from your forehead.

"Ok. So have a cold shower or bath when you get back." Maki says.

"Good idea." You say, wiping more sweat.

"Megumi. Take her back to her room." Maki whispers in Megumi's ear.
