Matt was joining you and the team for a case. The unsub had been putting children in old house or abandoned buildings and setting them on fire. The team had been working on the profile and where is next fire may be. You guys had gotten an idea of where it could be. An abandoned wood church. You and the team drove to the church. You drove with Morgan,Emily, and Matt. You guys were the last to get there. When you did the church was already on fire. Matt took action and ran in to save the little boy that was inside. "MATT.. you can't" you yelled after him about to run after him but Morgan and Alvez caught you before you could. "Let me go.. he's going to need help" you said still yelling "y/n he will be fine" Morgan said and right as he did the roof fell in. You covered your eyes since there was so much smoke. You turned back to try and see Matt "NO.. MATT.. Matt please" you screamed still trying to get free from their arms "Simmons" Hotch called. There was no response, the paramedics pulled Matt and the little boy out. "Matt" he was barely awake and he had burns and charcoal all over him. You got free from Morgan and Alvez and ran to the stretcher. "Matt.." you breathed out "hey y/n" he had a small smirk on his face "oh thank god you're okay" "did you really think you could lose me that quick" "oh don't get too cocky" you joked and got into the ambulance with him. At the hospital they told you that he'd be okay but would still have a couple burns. You sat with him while they were running test to make sure he was okay to go home. "You know y/n? I think you like me more than just a friend" "you're right I like you as a best friend" you joked "you know what I mean" "I do" "so then date Me" "is that an offer cause If it is then I accept" "yess finally" he said leaning up to kiss you.
