I bursted open the kitchen door to hear the giggling of two kids.
"Chase us! Chase us!" They shouted.
"Not unless where somewhere where you won't get hurt." I said.
The last thing I wanted was for them to get hurt. I'm not sure what it was about Chris and Hannah but I just couldn't stand to see them get hurt.
"I won't get hurt Laura." Chris said pouting.
"And neither will I." Hannah followed.
"We can play but were going to play in the play room and no other rooms." I said.
I also didn't want to explain to Rose why I had two children crying.
Their faces lit up with a smile.
"Yay!" They yelled. Man they could yell a lot.
They ran down the hallway that lead to the play room passing up rooms I didn't even know we're there.
It was clear Hannah and Chris were in here earlier. Toy blocks were laid in a tower from and dolls dressed in huge puffy gowns were in another. Two huge bins of toys were tipped over.
"Laura counts first!" Chris shouted.
They took off in different directions of the play room, which was like 7 different choices of directions.
I closed my eyes and counted to 30.
On 29 I felt hands pull my against them and lips smash against mine.
When Daniel pulled away he said,
"30." Smiling he let go of me but I pulled him back.
"Where have you been, you've missed a lot of yelling." I said unable to contain my smile.
"I've been standing in the back laughing at you, in a good way though babe." He said.
"What good way?" I asked.
"You always negotiated with them, on everything." He said chuckling.
"Well I didn't want two crying children on my hands." I said.
"It's been 30 seconds!" Chris yelled.
"And now I know where your hiding!" I yelled back.
I sidestepped Daniel and went toward the direction I heard Chris's voice.
Daniel stopped me.
"Get on my back." He said.
"Why? I do have working legs Danny." I said.
"You look tired so let me carry you, either the hard way or the easy way." He said smirking.
I felt a rush of déjà vu but hid it with a smile.
I climbed on his back and pointed to the direction I wanted to go.
"Danny?" I asked quietly.
"Hmm?" H said.
"Am I fat?" I asked. I knew I wasn't, but I was curious what his answer would be.
"Luara you look as light as a feather and I'm holding you right now, you ARE as light as a feather." He said.
"Oh ok." I said thinking about it.
I heard a shuffle of feet somewhere next to me and told Daniel to stop.
I got off his back and moved back a huge red box.
"Rawr!" Yelled Chris.
I jumped back laughing. This kid was adorable.
"I got you ha!" He said blushing.
"Ya you did kid now come on let's find Hannah." I said picking he up.
"Look." He said holding up a dime.
"It's very shiny." I said looking at it.
"How much is this?" He asked.
"One million dollars." Daniel said.
"No way! I'm a millionaire!" Chris yelled.
I shook my head but didn't say anything.
We went down each section of the playroom and finally found her on the last one.
When we went to the front of the playroom a woman in her mid 30's was standing there.
"So you've found another slut to "marry" eh Daniel?" She questioned.
I set down Chris and slowly walked up to the woman. She had bleach blonde hair at least 5 pounds of makeup on and was wear I tight hot pink tube top and black booty shorts that said "sexy"
She put the "ho" in "whore".
"Excuse me? Who are you?" I asked.
"I'm Daniel's ex girlfriend, I know he wants me back but he can't have me." She said blowing a kiss to Daniel.
I wanted to rip her fucking head off.
"Well I guess that's a shame for you since he's already found someone whose a lot better." I said.
"You? Please I would look better than you with bed head." She said smugly.
"At least I don't flash anything to anyone who'll look, IF anyone would look at you." I said.
She gasped then lifted her hand to smack me. Just as she was about to I caught we hand and flipped the bitch on her ass.
Chris and Hannah cracked up along with Daniel.
She got up and said "Come on Hannah and Chris, Lisa is expecting you" she said glaring at me.
"I'm Laura and you must be the Kaitlyn I heard about, well I'm guna call you slut for now on alright Kaitlyn?" I asked.
She grabbed Chris and Hannah and stormed out of the room.
It suddenly smelt less like cheap perfume when she left, I thought to myself.
"Ha!" Daniel said.
