Astoria the folded the letter perfectly and slid the cream colored parchment into a faded similarly colored envelope as she melted a soft red wax to seal the envelope shut and used her press against the wax flipping it carefully back to the front and writing on the front of the enveloped parchment For J. Laurens Once the wax had finished drying Astoria got up from the desk in Johns study and set the quill aside and headed out to the next mail horse she knew that it would take almost a week for her to get a reply but she was patient as always. She handed the letter to the mail boy and watched as he rode off towards Georgia and let out a soft sigh. "return home soon my dearest." she spoke to herself and made her way back to her home to tend to the new garden she had started.
