Prologue

November 24, 1994 Thanks Giving

"Why are we doing this again" questioned Tony

"Well she is your daughter Tony, whether you like it or not. You have the choice to keep her or put her up for adoption, which I strongly disagree with" replied Tonys strawberry blond assistant, Pepper Pots.

Tony completely ignoring her statement "I bet they are all just making this up and the little girl is behind it all"

"Do you know how dumb you sound? I don't think the California Police department would lie on mutiple DNA tests, Tony. Plus what wound a 3 year old gain from lying about her dad?" raising her eyebrow at her idiotic boss next to her.

They sat in the car in silence until they found themselves outside the court house.

TIME SKIP

"Mr. Stark have you come to your decision" asked the judge.

"Could I see her first" Tony asked

The judge gave him a nod and told a guard to bring her in. Thats when the doors opened to a lady with a blond little girl hiding behind her legs. The little girls eyes scanned the room until they fell upon Tony. Right as they hit him, her scared look melted away as she screamed "DADDY" while running toward him. His instincts took over as he bent down to catch the little girl barreling toward him and sweep her up into a big bear hug.

He looked to the judge and asked "how does she know who I am?"

The response he got was not what he expected to hear.

"The little girl told us how her mom would yell at this picture of you and say how "this is all your fault" then she would proceed to shove the picture in the girls face saying that her dad would never be there for her and that he hated her for being such a brat."

This made Tony mad even tho he just met this little girl she already had such a hold on him and he knew he would never let anything hurt her. He was brought back out of his thoughts when the little girl spoke to him.

"Guess what daddy"

"What"

"I got to go to the garden today and they even let me try this leaf called Basil" she told him with an adorable smile on her face.

"well did you like the basil"

"It was so good, but they told me only to take 1 leaf but I took 2" she said with a giggle.

"This girl really is a stark" he said with a laugh

"Can I tell you something else daddy?"

"You can tell me anything"

She leaned to whisper in his ear "I am 4 years old today"

"Does that mean that today is your birthday and Thanksgiving"

She nodded while staring at him.

"Well do you know what that mean?"

She shook her head.

"It means that we are going to celebrate by going out and getting pizza and all the ice cream you could imagine. Then we will have a big thanksgiving feast!"
