The alarm went off on my clock at 11:00. That's my normal time to wake up. I had a hard time falling asleep last night. I couldn't get Lou off my mind or out of my mind. I kept replaying the evening over and over in my head.
I loved being smashed, held, and pinned to the front door.
I loved his over-whelming presence, his masculinity, his body and all of his muscles.
I loved the way he kissed me. Even now, just thinking about Lou's tongue deep in my mouth, send shivers down my spine and zaps my crotch with a longing so powerful it almost hurts.
Lou had me so sexually excited last night, it was hard to tell him 'no'. Fortunately, I didn't have the same problem telling that to my favorite vibrator...again. Even that didn't help me relax enough to fall asleep.
I grabbed my cell phone and called Naomi. We decided to meet for lunch. She gave me directions to a place called El Toro and we were going to meet at twelve-thirty.
I quickly got ready, threw my hair back into a ponytail and forgo the make-up. I put on a long-sleeve t-shirt and a pink hoodie and then pulled on some jeans. Stomped my feet into my pink snow boots and grabbed my jacket.
"Gonna grab the mail before I go, Pa." I said out loud as I unlocked the front door. "What happened last night?" I opened the door to check the mail box, "Oh...nothing much." I smiled to myself.
I halted in my advance out the door and my smile grew even bigger. There on my 'welcome' matt sat a small cup of coffee, the snow around it had melted away from its previous warmth.
I walked forward, bent down and picked up the paper cup of now very cold coffee. I stood up and looked about, but there was nothing or no one around.
Scribbled in ink across the lid was the word 'Tuesday'.
Honestly, I forgot about the mail as I turned about to come back inside the house. I was so giddy with excitement it was hard to contain myself. I knew this was from Lou. Who else would put a cup of coffee on my door step with the word 'Tuesday' on the lid?!
I dreamily shut the front door and walked with my cup of coffee towards the kitchen.
"Oh, Pa..." I sighed, "...Lou brought me coffee. Isn't that romantic. Yes, yes...the roses were a nice touch too, but the coffee...the coffee is special, Pa."
I walked into my small kitchen and dumped the cold coffee out into the sink. It's not the cold old coffee I want, but the love-note scribbled across the top lid.
I rinsed out the cup and put the plastic lid back on it. I set it down on the counter in a place of honor next to my beautiful roses. There was no way I was going to throw my little gas station coffee cup away. That's a keeper.
I floated through my house on a cloud of delight.
"You know, Pa, I think that boy kinda likes me." I giggled. "Maybe I do too, I don't know yet."
I walked over towards the sofa table and picked up my purse, "I would never lie to you, Pa." I stated a mere fact as I reached for my scarf. "He's beautiful, charming, romantic..."
I sighed as I tied my scarf around my neck.
I stopped abruptly and looked over at the football on my fireplace mantle, "What's wrong with him?" I tried to sound indignant.
I smiled deeply, grabbed my keys off the sofa table and headed for the garage, "Not a single freaking thing."
It's cold outside. It's cold in the garage. My poor ol' Ox hates this kind of weather. I really need to think about buying a new car. I'd never get rid of my Pa's truck, it's all I have left of him.
