I woke up from the sun blaring in my face and I yawn and stretch waking up from one of my most comfortable nights sleep ever.

Maybe cause I had a headache and was laying next to the most fluffiest puppy in the world.

I look to my side and smile as I see Eli curled to my side with his head resting on my stomach.

My hands rub through his soft brown fur and he starts waking up.

He immediately grew hyper and started prancing up and down on the bed.

I giggle and scratch behind his ears and say, "Let's try to keep ourselves busy, I know you secretly think Leo's annoying too."

The dog barks and it made me laugh and I get up from the bed.

I was still in the same clothes as yesterday and scrunch my face in disgust feeling dirty.

I should go back home to get my clothes, no doubt that Leo probably has secret tabs on where I go and if I leave.

Eli follows me as I open the door and walk out of the room.

I look down the railing of the huge staircase that always astounds me to look into the living room and see no one.

Hm maybe if I look through the rooms I can find Mauricio or Luca to take me home.

I go walk around the staircase, seeing two room doors over there.

I knock on the left one and hear a gruff "come in."

I open the door slowly feeling slightly bad that I probably woke the person up.

When I peek through I see it was Mauricio and he was sitting up on his bed stretching.

He had the on a black tee with some plaid sweatpants and I give him a shy smile and say, "Sorry I interrupted your sleep."

He shrugs his shoulders and says, "Nonsense I was just waking up anyways."

He stands up and looks at me and asks, "I'm guessing you want to go to your apartment for your cat and clothes?"

I give him a shy nod and feel Eli brush pass my legs and prance into Mauricio's room uninvited.

Mauricio bends down and pets Eli and gives him a small smile and then he looks up at me and says, "Well we can go right now just let me brush my teeth and get dressed but I hope you're not trying to run away from staying here because Leo will come back from where he is and drag you back here."

I roll my eyes and say, "I'd like to see him try, and besides, he's lucky I'm not in the mood to test his overprotective needs at the moment I'm just too physically and mentally drained to deal with him."

Mauricio gives me a lopsided smile and says, "I appreciate you being there for him, he's my best friend and well, let's just say he isn't great in expressing emotions other than anger and his impatience."

I nod and say, "Sometimes I question myself why I put up with it and I still don't know now but something is telling me that I need to be closer with him."

"I just wish he wasn't so closed off and cold towards me, he just makes me feel like everything I'm doing is wrong then he'll do sweet acts that make me forget he's a macho mafia leader with the same patience as a new born baby."

He sighs and says, "He is crazy and hard to deal with and it'd take a crazy person to want to stay with him but I mean we've already acknowledged the fact that you are crazy."
