You're Not Invincible

We were currently in the car on our way to his house. He thinks it's not safe for me to be at the apartment and even gave rooms for Isa and Michi which made my heart swell with even more love for him.

All I could think about was being able to see Michi and Isa and giving them a hug but for some reason I also had this weird feeling like something bad may happen to Leo and I'd do anything to keep him safe.

Raoul was in his nice sports car currently following behind us.

Leo said him and his mafia are here to help for something he still hasn't informed me about but I trust him to be able to tell me.

I lean my head on Leo's shoulder and he sees the distressed look on my face and puts his arm on my thigh and rubs the inside soothingly and asks, "What's on your mind bambina?"

I sigh and say, "I don't know what fight you're preparing for but I don't want you to go and be apart of it."

It was his turn to sigh and he says, "As much as I'd rather stick by your side all day and do normal people things I can't baby, I'm a leader of a mafia and I need to keep you safe. You were shot and I'm not going to sit and do nothing about it."

I nod and in a small voice say, "He didn't mean to shoot me Leo you know that."

He clenched his jaw and says, "But it happened anyways so he's getting what's coming to him."

I nod and say, "I just don't want you to be hurt, I can't live without you."

My eyes start to water and he says, "Hey, hey, no crying bambina, I'm going to be fine. It's actually considered an insult to think the bastard will be able to hurt me."

I laugh and he says, "Don't worry about me baby, worry about you okay, everything will go back to the way it used to be."

He kisses my forehead and I slowly but surely put a smile on my face knowing I can't be stressed and out my stress onto him either. He needs my full support.

Even though so many emotions keep hitting me at once right now I need to be strong for Leo and crying can't be apart of our agenda, I'd only set him back.

The car comes to halt and I see we were in the driveway if Leo's house.

The driver opens the door for us and I give him a polite smile and try to get out the car and walk on my own but Leo immediately says, "Whoa what do you think you're doing?"

I give him a confused look and say, "Going inside."

He gives me a dumbfounded look and says, "Baby you were just shot."

I shrug my shoulders and say, "Yup in my chest not my legs," I go to get out the car again but he gets out the other door and jogs over to my side and lifts me up bridal style and says, "You must've hit you're head too if you think I'm going to let you do shit on your own."

I huff but let him carry because I secretly wanted his touch and didn't want him to let me go.

He walks us towards the doors and I see the guards and give them my best smile and wave and I surprisingly got a small smile out of them making me feel giddy.

The guards open the door for us and Leo walks in and I immediately heard footsteps and put my head in Leo's neck not really wanting to speak to many people.

He rubs his hand up and down my back in a comforting manner and I hear Michi and Isa together scream my name.

Before they get close Leo says, "She's sleeping, let her get rest before you guys bombard her."
