The Manor

"Absolutely not," Severus's voice rang through the dining room, his face narrowed at the Malfoy boy. Belladonna was stiffened at her uncle's outburst, she looked away from everyone at the table. 

"Oh calm down Severus," Narcissa said taking a sip of her wine "Goyle, Crabbe, Blaise are all on their way over tonight, I believe miss Greengrass and Parkison will stop by as well," She said with a smile, causing Belladonna to look over at her. 

"This concerns me how," Severus said in a monotone voice,  looking between Narcissa and Lucious. 

"Well I was hoping your lovely niece could teach them dueling, I believe that would be of benefit to the children," She said the last part more sternly as she set her glass of wine on the table. Severus let out a huff looking over at his niece who met his gaze with her big blue eyes pleading. Severus rolled his eyes and let out a sigh. 

"That is fine, I do expect her to come home sometime though," He said with a smile placing his hand on his nieces. Belladonna face held a wide smile as she looked over to Draco. He looked over with a smirk. 

"Perfect just perfect," Narcissa said with a smile, Severus looked over to Lucious who starred in the distance. He knew the dark lord would hold meetings here, and he almost felt conflicted with having the girl here. However, he knew at this time he could say absolutely nothing. Severus tore his gaze from the man and looked to his niece. She was smiling widely at the young Malfoy boy, who shared the same childlike smile on his face. 

"If you don't mind I would like to speak with Belladonna in private for a moment," Severus said to Narcissa who nodded 

"Of course, the garden is beautiful at this time," She said with a smile gesturing towards the parlor doors. Severus nodded shortly and stood up, leading his niece to the garden. Narcissa smiled at patted both the men on the knees.

"That went well I think," She said with a smile towards Draco, who narrowed his eyes at his mother.  

"I don't know if well is the word I would use mother," Draco said running his hands through his hair nervously. He knew it would be tough for Snape to be okay with their relationship. 

"Nonsense, I think it went well," Narcissa said looking over at Lucious "You two remind me a lot of your father and me as teenagers," Narcissa said patting her husband's hand. Lucious nodded with his wife, giving her hand a short squeeze. 

Meanwhile, Snape leads his niece into the garden, sitting at a bench in the middle. It was twilight, as the sun was setting below the trees surrounding the manor. The two took a moment to enjoy the view around them before Severus spoke up.

"I know you are growing up, but I worry for you," He said sternly causing her to look over at him. Belladonna rested her head on her uncle's shoulder, looking back into the night.

"Everything will change now, nothing will be the same," She said with a deep sigh, longing to be normal. Severus lightly patted the girl's head, looking over at the setting sun. 

"I wish I could protect you," He paused looking back down at the girl, "I know that I have taught you to be a strong, young lady. I don't doubt that you are intelligent, I mean you are my niece. However, remember that love can be a fickle thing," Severus said looking at his niece. Belladonna's eyes narrowed at her uncle at his words. 

"Uncle I don't know. . . " Belladonna tried to defend but was quickly cut off.

"I am not foolish Belladonna, I can see what's in front of me. I knew but didn't want to admit it," He said shortly at her. Belladonna looked out into the garden, her chest feeling heavy. 

"I also see the way he looks at you," Severus said with a pausing, remembering how he used to look at Lily in the same way when they were younger "I just don't want to see you hurt," He said with a smile, squeezing the girls hand. Belladonna smiled looking over at her uncle. 

"I am afraid that it wouldn't be him who would hurt me," She said looking down at her feet, "I fear that I will put all the people I love in danger, I mean why me, what's the reason he wants, me," She said bitting back her tears.

"Nonsense," Severus said standing up "Don't think about that, enjoy the summer. Now you have friends to teach in the morning, I will send your things over tonight," He said heading back towards the manor. Belladonna stood up watching her uncle starting to walk away. 

"Uncle Sev, I love you," She said causing him to stop. He turned and smiled at her. 

"I love you too darling, now let's go," He said as she stood up quickly following behind him. They headed back into the manor, Severus gave his niece a long hug. She smiled giving him a hug back, knowing she would miss her uncle. They let go and headed into the parlor, where the Mafloys were sitting together. Severus cleared his throat, causing them all to look over.

"I will send her things when I arrive home," Severus said looking at Narcissa who was beaming. 

"Wonderful, Draco." She said looking over at the teenagers. Draco had a smile on his face as he led her up the stairs. 

Severus looked between Narcissa and Lucious, he was nervous for his niece. He looked at Lucious. 

"Thank you for taking care of her in the graveyard, but I hope for my niece's stake that there will be no one here," Severus said sternly, Lucious was stiff as he looked over at his wife."I will make sure your niece is safe in our care," Lucious said as Severus headed into the flou network.

 Draco and Belladonna made their way up the stairs hand and hand. Draco had opened the door to her room and she walked in. She recognized it as the same room she stayed in from the world cup. She smiled turning around and facing Draco. Belladonna makes her way over to Draco who slowly watched Belladonna's movements. She got closer and closer to Draco, and he stiffened up as their chest touched. Belladonna's breath hitched in her chest as she smelt his cologne. Draco took a shallow breath at the milk and honey that filled up his scenes. In a quick moment, Draco grabbed Belladonna's waist and pulled her in for a kiss. Belladonna melted into Draco's touch, and Draco felt electricity running through him. For that moment it was just the two of them.
