Nine walked into school the following day forgetting he had to talk to someone. It was just one person so it was fine. He usually didn't talk to that many people, to begin with, but now, the best place to start is with Mill.

"Hey, Nine!!" A voice came from far.
It was Mill. He was seeing him for the first time and was stunned Mill recognized him already. Mill was a bit shorter and had a bright smile and bright red hair to top it off. "How'd you know it was me?" Nine asked him.
"I didn't. I just guessed and if it wasn't you, I'd just say I was talking to someone else and run to make you embarrassed for looking." Mill deadpanned. Nine nodded as he was taking it all in, realizing this might just be Mill's personality.

The two talked all day up until class started and Mill fell asleep.
"How did I not recognize him earlier ? He's kind enough to remember me."
Nine thought to himself as he resumed his classwork.                                                                                "Maybe I should help him with the homework while we collaborate?" He thought about it a bit longer and nodded his head firmly deadset on the decision. It's the most he could do if they were going to become friends.

After their final classes of the day concluded, Mill invited Nine to the nearby vending machine, where they discussed mundane experiences that life presents us with. Though these encounters held no profound significance, Nine attentively listened to Mill's stories. Nine told Mill his plans to do a collab with him and it was an IU song. It was a well-thought-out idea. But Nine also mentioned to Mill about finishing up homework resulting in a groan from Mill. With that, Nine chuckled as Mill begged him to forget about his unfinished homework.

The two managed to secure time to hang out and go through with the collaboration.

The two sat at his recording desk in his room and Nine got out his laptop and guitar and did a little warm-up before singing.

"Let's put it on my account instead." Mill requested.
"No, we'll keep it on mine and I'll just feature you." Nine retorted.                                                                 "I came up with the idea!" Mill argued back.

They stopped bickering as Nine turned on the play button, quieting the room in an instant. As Nine strummed the strings he sang the first line.

So are you happy now? Finally happy now? yeah~.

Nine sang the intro, focused on the tune and pitch, and his melodic, mellow voice successfully captured her essence as well as their own. Soon, Mill started rapping and did the best he could. Deep down, Nine felt like the two were unstoppable.

Once they finished the cover, they uploaded it to SoundCloud on Mill's account. Nine put all of Mill's credentials and sent off the song. They waited and waited and waited while in the meantime at ice cream to fill their boredom until they got a notification for the song. Soon, they heard a ping and jumped up immediately.

Han liked your new song

"Han? The Han I do covers from?" Mill asked stunned. "Maybe it's fake.." Nine wondered, doubting it. "Nope, it's really him!" Mill took a closer look and pointed to the screen. They looked at each other wide-eyed with adrenaline and delight filling their veins.

It was unbelievable.

Once they settled down they read the comment and looked at the likes on it
Nine saw the rising numbers in likes. They noticed a DM in the corner of the screen. Mill read it out loud.
"Good work N9_ and WindMill, I like this cover! I also like your cover of Close and I got it Mill! Keep working hard." The two beamed.
"We did it." Nine smiled. Mill nodded.
The two talked until sunset becoming even closer. Mill noticed it was getting late. The two walked to the door when suddenly Mill spoke up. "Well, to celebrate our win I say we go to karaoke tomorrow night. Meet me at 7 pm tomorrow!" He proposed. Nine agreed with a smile and thumbs up as he saw him out.

As he closed the door. He exhaled and smiled to himself, barely able to contain himself for tomorrow to come.
