Luz pov

I sat there at the table staring at my plate of food not eating..

Life isn't the same.. home isn't the same dad walked out on us never returned I don't see my mother often as she works as a nurse full time.. and to top it off she's becoming a alcoholic.. just wanted a normal life other than living as a street rat alone.. Just wish I had friends or family It's not fair! I see people with happy lives as I live with this I just want to be happy for once.. please... just once!

"Hey luz you better eat your food don't let it go to waste" mom said as I look up at her "not hungry" I said as I slid the plate away from me as I stood up from my chair and turned around to leave "you better eat it now or you'll be punished!" Momma said "punish me then it won't matter" I said as left the room "damnit!" I heard her yell as I walked upstairs to my room I didn't move fast I just wanted to take my time just to feel something even though I don't know what there is to feel anymore all it is just pain..

I hear footsteps behind me as I felt a hand grab my hood of my hoodie (shirt thing) and pull me  with full force I was slung back hitting my head on a wooden little coffee table I look up to see my mom standing in front me "this is the last straw! First you get bad grades then your behavior and now this.. this is it I'm done with your bullshit!" Mom yelled at me as she started beating me.

Kicks, punched what can be worse than a bruise..

"I'm fucking done perra!" (Translation: bitch)

"Your a disgrace to me and our family name!" My mother yelled at me "our family name is broken!" I yelled back at her as she walked into the kitchen to come back with a knife

A knife very predictable huh.. why can't it be my signature weapon of choose fire.. guess we can't just kill Luz can we? Or will I.. eh maybe next time))

Momma got closer as I tried to crawl away but I couldn't get away a knife went why throw my back I could feel the stainless steel stained with blood my clothes blooded my vision was getting blurry as I look up to a window to see bright red and blue lights shine through the window.. guess someone heard and called the police...

My eyes slowly closing as i lay on my back in pain as the door was kicked down my eyes about to close I see my mom trying to run but her knife dropped to ground with her as she dropped to the Ground..

My eyes finally closing...
