The Hospital

The voices in our head that no one thinks are there

And the pills they cram down our throats

Numbing our minds

And the cold at night

Coming off the frozen white wall

And the tiny little window they use

To watch us while we sleep

And the firm, cold looks they give

When we don't do as told

And the calls we get nightly

From our parents asking if we're okay

And the lies we tell

"Yes, I'm fine" so they don't worry

And all the things we said and did

Couldn't compare to what is trapped in the walls

Of the hospital
