The weeks passed by in a blur, if it wasn't for Cole and Beatrice, Kyrah would've been lost. She told Beatrice and Cole the truth about what she had learned from Professor Blanc, they were both so supportive.

Beatrice plopped down beside her in the Great Hall, "Sometimes I wonder if all these essays we write is to torture us." she asked as she threw her book bag by her feet.

As she started loading up on toast and bacon, Kyrah smiled at her friend. "Well Slughorn gave us that essay last week." she said causing Beatrice to give he an outraged glare.

"Oh, haha I completely forgot I had poor scheduling skills." She snapped, laughing.

Kyrah gulped down the last of her pumpkin juice and got up from the table, "Coming?" she asked without looking at her best friend.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm coming miss perfect." Beatrice said as she got hold of her book bag. As they enter the dungeons where they had their potion class they noticed an odd change in the arrangement of the students, frowning they made their way towards their usual table, but before they could sit down they heard the familiar voice of Slughorn.

"No, no girls. As you can see I've partnered up everybody nicely." Gesturing towards the room, looking back at the students, Kyrah choked back a snort, he sure as hell rearranged the pupils, but he did a bad job.

He had partnered James Potter with Severus Snape, Sirius with Gregor Goyle and Remus with Victor Crab. Rolling her eyes at Sirius she returned her gaze to Professor Slughorn.

"Now Miss Brown you can sit next to Mister Thomas from Huffelpuff." He said pointing towards a scrawny boy in the back row, "And miss Swanson you can sit next to Miss Evans, maybe you'll learn some manners from her." Clapping his hands together he started to ask questions, which Kyrah choose to ignore.

It's not that Kyrah hated Lily Evans, she was mad at Slughorn for treating her as though she had a problem. As the day progresses she felt herself starting to drift, she hasn't been sleeping well since she learned who her father was, I mean the Darkest Wizard himself? What were the odds?

Professor Bin's class was so boring that most of the class were on their arms before he even finished the first sentence.

-----

Kyrah dreamed that she was flying over some mountain tops, without the support of broom or carpet; she was determined to reach him, to speak to him. Her Lord and Master was awaiting news about the girl, her sisters' daughter. She was a threat to his plans and they had to get rid of her. Before Dumbledore figured out who she was.

Walking up to a handsome manor, she lifted her left arm in a salute and entered through the iron bars as though they were made of smoke. But before she could knock on the door the bell rang, it was annoyingly loud and she jerked awake before she could see who was opening the front doors.

-----

After dinner, Beatrice and Kyrah returned to the Slytherin common room to put their bags in their dormitories but found their way blocked by Lucius Malfroy, "This here's for you Swanson." He said, shoving the rolled up parchment under her nose.

Kyrah frowned at Malfroy, and without thinking replied, "What's this rubbish?" she asked accusingly.

"Well, its not a love letter from me" He spat, "As if I'd like a filthy half blood like yourself." and turned on his heel and left.

Kyrah felt disgruntled as she ripped open the parchment and in a thin slanting handwriting the message read.

-----

Kyrah

I would like to see you in my office this evening.

Say 8'o'clock.

Professor Dumbledore

P.S I do enjoy Peppermint Imps.

-----

Looking over her shoulder, Kyrah saw that Beatrice was frown slightly. "You think it's about your father?" she asked Kyrah.

Kyrah shook her head, "No, I don't think so, why would my parentage bother Dumbledore." But she was asking this more to herself than she did to Beatrice.

"You better get Cole's view?" She said and pointed towards Cole. Kyrah smiled and gave him a small wave, and he gave her his special smile which is probably the best feature he had. He came over towards them and got hold of her wrist and gently pulled her up towards an empty corner.

"Am I in some kind of trouble" she asked making a face at him as he finally let go of her wrist. Cole looked at her looking confused.

"No," he said frowning, "I thought I heard Bea said you need my opinion?"

"I need your view, about this letter."  he screwed up his face in concentration as he took the letter from Kyrah and started reading.

"Are you sure this is Professor Dumbledore's handwriting." he asked and of course reading the fear in her mind he adds, "I don't want you near that crazy lady, who knows what she'll do to get her hands on you..."

"She's nowhere near Hogwarts at the moment," she said remembering the dream she had in History of Magic class earlier.

"And what makes you so certain?" Cole asked, frowning at her.

"I... I just know..." she replied avoiding his eye, "I'm very certain..."

Cole gave her a faint smile, "what makes you so sure?" he asked in the soft whisper. He handed her, her letter back, and tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

"Last time, I felt the writing pulling me in, but not tonight. That letter must've contained some of her Veela-charm." she said, and without warning Cole pulled her into a hug. Kyrah felt her heart thumping loudly in her chest, afraid that he might feel it in such close proximity. But he pulled away and left her standing in the corner of the common room, processing that he had just hugged her a few seconds ago.

-----

As the Gargoyle leapt aside and a staircase started growing from nowhere, Kyrah stepped onto the growing staircase as it kept spiraling on and on until finally, she was in front of a wooden door.

Kyrah knocked softly and strained her ears to listen, "Come in Kyrah." The calm soft voice of the headmaster called through the door.

She opened the door and walk inside, "Good evening Professor Dumbledore. You wanted to see me?" And with a defining finality she closed the door behind her.
