Jan.23,1968

AMANE'S POV:

"H-Horishiro,I-I have your notebooks." The girl turns around,a look of disgust on her face. "Oh,it's you." Her eyes trail to the notebooks,she roughly takes them into her possession. She turns back to have a conversation with the person she was talking to without saying thank you. I wasn't surprised she didn't say anything if I'm being completely honest. I turned and headed towards my classroom,class doesn't start any time soon but I hate being the center of attention. I walked into my classroom to see a few people there. They were either chatting idly with each other or working on last minute work. I noticed Y/N sitting at her desk,a deathly aura surrounding her. My brows furrowed in confusion as I walked over to her.

"Y/N? Are you-"her E/C eyes look deep into my amber ones,she was glaring hard at me. "Why are you giving me that look?" I asked her cluelessly"did I-I do something wrong?" She shakes her head and looks away"then,what is it?" I ask her as she turns back to me with a deep sigh. "Amane,I love you but please go away." I nod and leave her alone. My mind was racing. Did I do something wrong?! Why is she mad?! Who made her upset?! Finally the bell rang which brought me out of my thoughts. Huh,that went by fairly quick.

Tsuchigomori entered the room telling us to settle down. Tsuchigomori took role for the class and then we got started. "You all have to partner up,you have a History project due Friday." Tsuchigomori explained the project and then looked down at the papers resting on the podium. "I've decided to chose your partners for you,since last time were all very loud and lost the privilege." Tsuchigomori then begins to read of the groups. "Horishiro and Tenko,Kuro and Hanako,Aiko and Yano-"he continued to list of the names"Kono and Kuba,and lastly Y/N and Yugi." My eyes widened,was I in shock to be with my best friend or was I upset that she would get annoyed by the person she said to leave her alone? "Alright,please go get into your groups."

I grabbed my things and walked over to Y/N's desk,I slid the desk in front of her next to hers. "H-Hi." I greeted the H/C girl,her head was resting on her arms that were folded on the desk. She looked at me before looking back down at the desk. "S-So we should probably get started on-"

"I don't care." And that's how most of the period went,I'd say something to her and she'd stay silent or something along those lines. I slammed the pencil down on the desk"what is your problem?!" She looks up at me"I'm on my period,alright?!" She said just loud enough for me to hear. It took me a second to register her response,I felt my cheeks burn once it had done so. "Y-You're...You're..."I said in a trance. "There. You happy?" She asks crossing her hands over her chest. "Don't look at me like that! You practically asked!" To be honest,I didn't hear what she said,that word 'period' was lingering in my mind.

I knew girls got it,I knew Y/N got it. But she always seemed fine everyday of the week,so I don't understand why today she was so moody. Do girls get moody on it? Or is it just Y/N? I felt pain on my forward which brought me out of my thoughts. "Ow." I hummed as I rubbed my forehead"you weren't responding." Y/N huffs"s-sorry." She sighs"anyway,what do we need to do?" "We have to pick a country that's not Japan and research the history on it." She nods and pulls out her pen and notebook. "Can't we just do Japan?" She groans"no,we can't." She then raises her hand"Tsuchigomori-sensei! I have a question!" I turn to see Tsuchigomori gesturing her over. She nods and stands up walking over to the teacher. I turn back and shake my head knowing the answer.

I grabbed my pencil and began to write down a few countries I was interested in. So far I had The Soviet Union,America and New Zealand. I feel a presence across from me which makes me look up,Y/N had a annoyed expression on her face. "And...?" She clicks her tongue"he said no."

"I could have told you that." She rolls her eyes and takes my notebook. Her eyes scan the countries"I'm adding England." She says picking up her pen and writing it down on the paper. "Once we're done,how will we decide?" I hum"Tsukasa." I nod and it goes back to silence between us. The class continued to talk about the project and other topics in general. This was going to be a long class period.

Afternoon

"Hm..."Tsukasa hummed taking the lollipop out of his mouth"I think you should do *insert a country*." Y/N crossed her arms"why should we listen to you?" She growls taking a bite of her lunch"you said that Tsukasa would decide." She nods with a light blush,clearly embarrassed that she forgot what she said. "Thank you Tsukasa." He nods"of course." He then looks to Y/N"Y/N,why are you in a bad mood?" I feel my cheeks burn as I remember her reasoning. "I'm not in a bad mood." She simply answers"yes you are!" Tsukasa stands up and sits down in Y/N's lap,I watch her body tense up as the boy grabs hold of her cheeks,forcing her to look at him. "Tell~me~." The girls cheeks turn a bright shade of pink"Tsukasa,get off of her." I hear whispers around us"we're getting t-talked about."

Tsukasa rolls his eyes"tell me~."(ok but why am I suddenly thinking of "tell me" by Killua's VA?) Y/N pushes Tsukasa off and he tumbles to the floor. "That was mean!" Tsukasa pouts crossing his arms"I don't like it when you do things like that Tsukasa." She then looks to the people in the classroom who were staring at us. "What?! Got a problem?!" Everyone quickly went back to minding their own business. "Scary." I mutter under my breath"Amane,what's wrong with Y/N?" Tsukasa asks looking at me. "O-Oh,sh-she just got into a fight with her m-mom this morning." I stutter out"and it lasted all day?! That's weird." Y/N then stands up"I can't deal with this." She packs her things up and walks out of the classroom.

"She must be really upset." Tsukasa says breaking the silence. "What do you think happened?" I shrugged,unsure of what to make up. "It's none of our business anyways." Tsukasa frowns"we have to help her feel better!" He stands up from the floor"oh I know!" Tsukasa exclaims sitting down where Y/N just was. "Let's go to the candy store after school!" He suggests"Y/N likes candy." I shake my head and point to him"no,you like candy. This is just your excuse to go get more candy." Tsukasa nods with a bright smile,not even trying to hide it. "We'll catch her after school. We can ask her then. I think we should leave her alone for now."
