"Terry Silver, I'm calling to turn in that favor you promised me, remember?"
"Johnny Kreese....It's been too long, how could I ever forget. Nam in 69', you saved my life."
"Yes, and you promised me anything, you're living up in uh- Brooklyn now right?"
"Yep, came back here immediately after the war and met the love of my life. Her name was Sar"
Kreese interrupts Terry, "I'm not interested in your background, listen there's a Karate Tournament coming up soon here in California and I need you to send your best fighter over here, I know you opened up a dojo for yourself over there too. I also happen to know that you teach one of the best up and coming fighters in the country."
"Listen Johnny, I know who you're talking about, there's a lot of stuff I'd have to do in order to get him over there, you know I'd have to talk with his mom and I think he's a got a girl over here. I'd doubt he'd ever want to go fight on the west coast."
"Now hang on a minute Terry, you said in your own words, you'd give me that favor no questions asked. No matter what that favor was you'd pay me back!" Kreese said a bit more harsher and a tint of annoyance in his voice.
"I know John, but wouldn't it be easier if I gave you money so you could recruit some fighters out there."
Kreese let out some chuckles. "Terry, why do you keep hiding him from me? You're being selfish in not unleashing his potential under you. You're ruining his life. If he were under me he'd be the ultimate weapon."
"What's so special about this tournament anyway that you need him so bad?"
"Well you know me Terry, I'm a winner, and I don't settle for anything less. There was a silence on the phone until Kreese put in the last words. "I don't care how you do it, just get him out here, you have a week."
