Cobra Kai: No Mercy

The crowd cheered and the smell of popcorn and hotdogs was in the air. The All Valley Tournament was under way.

"Sam, you need to focus." Daniel bent down to talk to his once again heartbroken teenage daughter.

"I know dad, it's not his fault this time. It's mine, and I only have myself to blame.

"Sam, you need to get your head in it, don't worry about boys. I know it's hard, you really cared about Miguel but you have to focus otherwise Cobra Kai is going to stay around and do God knows what to more kids to come."

"I know dad, I'm sorry I'm really trying."

"The first matchup of the day, fighting for Cobra Kai is Marik Ashford and his opponent from Myagi Do, Karissa Katz."

"C'mon honey the first match is about to start let's go watch.

Sam looked down to see the tall boy from her chem class facing the girl who pretty much took away Miguel, but it's not her fault. Miguel and her aren't even dating. It's because Miguel wasn't willing to take the next step with her.

Marik looked across to Karissa his brown dark eyes narrowed in on her. Karissa stood frozen, she knew she had no chance. She knew this guy from somewhere but she couldn't remember.

"Bow towards each other. Now towards me. Fight!" Declared the referee.

They stood there for five seconds before Karissa said something that would shock the entire crowd.

"I give up."

Everybody gasped, Johnny got up and yelled "Karissa what the hell are you doing!" Miguel was also over there talking to her.

She couldn't stand it with those two, she looked over at Marik as he walked off the mat victorious. Without doing a damn thing. Karissa told Johnny, "I'm sorry Sensei Lawrence, something was off, I knew I wasn't going to win."

"You can't think like that come on!"

"I'm sorry, I couldn't beat him if I tried."

"Why's that?" Daniel questioned her as he left his daughters side to check out what went wrong. "Johnny what the hell, you said you'd have her prepared!"

"I did have her prepared LaRusso!"

"Guys, stop! It's neither of your guys' faults I'm sorry I let all of you down, but it just wasn't worth it. You'll find out why later."

"Our next match for today, Kyler Seo of Cobra Kai vs. Miguel Diaz of Myagi Do-Eagle Fang karate!"

"But how did she know when to give up?"  A shocked Tory turned to Marik walking back into the locker room.  It looked like he was going to ignore her before he looked back at Tory.

"I ran into Katz during my Brooklyn days, she's smart but by no means does she have what it takes to beat me."  Marik walked into the locker room before looking into the mirror.  He looked at his cut he received a few days ago.

FLASHBACK to a few days ago

"I'm tired of him just sitting there, he's so smug.  Why?  Because he beat Kyler who's the bum of the dojo.  Please!"  A frustrated and angered Tory Nichols released her anger from a tough workout.

"Please,  Ms. Nichols, are you sure that's a fight you want to pick?"  Kreese said full of doubt as he walked back into his office.

Other kids from the dojo were leaving after today's session.  Tory purposely took longer in order to be alone with Marik.
