*Emily's POV*

I got off the phone with Hotch and the operator. I turned to the team and JJ gave me a look.

"What's up? Are they almost here?" JJ asked. I put on my big girl pants.

"Rossi go tell them to stow the jet again. We have to deal with something," I said.

"What's wrong? Has there been another victim?" Rossi asked.

"Michaels and Hotch were in an accident. I gave my information so we can keep updated. As of right now, Hotch says he has minor injuries, but Michaels is unresponsive," I said. I walked to the door and walked down the steps. My phone rang and it was an unknown Montana number.

"Hello?" I answered, hoping it was information about Hotch and Michaels.

"Hello is this Emily Prentiss?" a woman asked.

"Yes, it is. Who is this?"

"Hi Mrs. Prentiss, this is Amelia Stafford at Allenbrook Memorial Hospital. I was told this is the emergency contact for a Aaron Hotchner and Sara Michaels?"

"Yes, that is correct. What's happening?" I heard the team following me and we all piled into one SUV. "Allenbrook Memorial Hospital," I said to Morgan who was driving. He nodded in response and took off.

"Where am I headed kid?" Morgan asked Reid. Reid began to rattle off directions.

"Well Mrs. Prentiss we got them both to the emergency room and Mr. Hotchner's injuries are more severe than we originally thought. He's in surgery to repair his abdomen and he's lost a lot of blood. Mrs. Michaels is in for a head CT right now so we can assess the damage on her brain. She will more than likely need to also have surgery. That's my update for now and I will call you back if anything changes before you get here," Stafford said. All the information at once made my stomach drop.

"Thank you, Miss Stafford. We are en route and will be there in a few minutes," I said and hung up the phone. I relayed the information to the team. Morgan took a sharp right, and I could see signs for the hospital. We pulled up to the emergency room and all piled out. Morgan went to park the car and I walked inside. There were a few people in the waiting room.

"Can I help you?" a nurse behind the counter asked. It wasn't the same person I spoke to on the phone.

"Hi I am Emily Prentiss, FBI. Two of our agents were brought in after a car wreck. I spoke to an Amelia Stafford on the phone," I said. The nurse at the station looked down at her paperwork.

"Let me grab their nurse for you and I will be right back," she said and picked up the phone. I heard her page for Amelia and I turned to the team.

"Alright baby girl. I'll keep you guys updated. Talk later, sugar," Morgan said into the phone. It was obvious he was talking to Garcia. I nodded at him in thanks for talking to her. A middle aged brunette the same height as me walked around the corner. She smiled and came to us.

"Hello. I'm Amelia Stafford. I am Mr. Hotchner and Mrs. Michaels' nurse," she said. I stuck my hand out and greeted her.

"I am Emily Prentiss. We spoke on the phone. This is the rest of our team. Agent Morgan, Reid, and Rossi."

"Well, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that Mr. Hotchner is out of surgery and resting. We got the bleeding stopped but he'll need a lot of time for recovery. The bad news, however, is that Mrs. Michaels is in a medically induced coma. We don't know when or even if she will wake up. We have high hopes but no promises." I took the news hard. None of the team said anything. I could hear my heart pounding and the buzz of the fluorescent lights. She looked at us and I could tell we were like the families we always dealt with. It felt weird being on this side of it. I never knew how I would feel but apparently, I would feel just like this.

"Can we see them?" Reid asked. I came out of my trance and looked at him. He had wet eyes and I knew he would take this the worst. They had only known each other for this one case, but Sara and Reid really got along. They were already becoming close friends. Nurse Stafford nodded.

"Of course. I can take you to their rooms. They are just down the hall from each other." She began walking but my feet were stuck to the ground. Reid walked around from behind me. Rossi followed Reid and Morgan went to follow too but saw I wasn't moving.

"Hey, we'll be there in a sec," Morgan said to the other three. They nodded and kept walking. "Prentiss, what's up?" I opened my mouth but shut it again. I wasn't supposed to tell anyone. Sara trusted me. I looked up at Morgan and shook my head.

"Sara told me something before we left. I told her I would keep it a secret," I said softly. "Give me time and I might tell you." Morgan smirked a little and looked down the hallway. The three were standing in a doorway and Reid walked in.

"I'm going to hold you to it. Let's go before we lose them," Morgan said. I finally found the feeling in my feet and legs. We walked down the hallway to the room Rossi was standing outside of. I looked at the bed and it was Hotch. I suddenly realized that I had yet to tell Jessica or Jack about the accident. I turned to Morgan.

"Will you do me a favor?" I asked. I knew he would, so I don't know why I was asking.

"Of course, Prentiss. What's up?" he replied.

"Will you tell Jessica? I had to call her last time he was in the hospital, but she needs to know." He nodded and took out his phone. He dialed the number and began talking.
