Switched (A Shera and the Princesses of Power Extra Episode)

Scene 3: A Fatal Mistake

"Adora, she was telling the truth, it is a trap!!! Where is She-ra??" Glimmer said in full panic mode.

"Yeah, I learnt that the hard way" Glimmer went to move forward to help Adora, but she stopped her.

"No don't come any closer! Catra implanted a bot underground that can disrupt your powers!!!"

"Let me help you!!" Glimmer said, as always ready to save her friends.

"I have a plan!" Adora said kicking Catra and throwing her with force against a tree and leaving her half-unconscious.

She moved towards Glimmer grabbing her sword along the way that was piercing the ground a few paces back. "If we stabbed the bot with my sword it would disrupt its system and my powers would come back. But the problem is... I can't figure out where it is... uughh where is Bow when you need him?!?!"

"Seriously Adora??" Glimmer sighed and pointed at a small metal tip sticking from the ground.

"Wait, how did I miss that??" Adora exclaimed.

"The same way you miss everything." Catra said after restoring her senses. She was still dazed from the fall, but that didn't slow her down. She didn't hesitate and attacked Adora as soon as she was on her feet. Glimmer joined in the fight. Even though Catra was outnumbered, two to one, she was still gaining on them.

Adora tries to attack Catra with the sword but loosens her grip and with a simple block from Catra the sword goes flying and jabbed a tree.

After throwing a punch at Adora she turns her focus on Glimmer. Glimmer teleports and dodges most of Catra's attempts to attack her, but avoids making a move herself.

After a little bit of chasing around a glitter punch finds Catra in the face and dazzles her for a moment. Glimmer manages to get away, the moment that Adora storms onto Catra and pins her down.

"Now Glimmer, destroy the bot!!" Adora yells at Glimmer while struggling to keep Catra down.

"No don't" Catra manages to let out a muffled cry. "Don't attack it with force! It'll set of a distress alarm and then it will self destruct, wiping out the entire wood and us with it"

"Don't listen to her Glimmer, why would she want to keep us alive?"

"Obviously having you killed off by a bot would take away the fun of doing it myself"

Glimmer found herself in a dilemma which seemed quite easy at first. Destroy the bot, and allow her best friend to transform into She-ra and take down Catra. But after second thoughts. What if Catra was telling the truth? Again? What if the bot really did self destruct?

"Nice try Catra, I'm not falling for your tricks again"

"No, Sparkles WAIT!!!!!"

Catra tried to get away from Adora and stop her, but it was too late. Glimmer had already made up her mind. Before anyone could say anything, Glimmer had turned towards the bot and fired a glitter beam at it.

Nothing seemed to happen at first. Glimmer, Catra and Adora stayed frozen in their tracks waiting for something to happen.

"See, she was lying, like alwa-"Adora didn't have the chance to finish her sentence, as the bot started flashing. A red light blinked for times before a piercing sound filled the air and flames materialized from the bot.

"Glimmer!!" Adora managed to yell before everything goes up in flames.

All goes black.
